I always liked Brian Tichy's drumming and especially solos. And last year on tour I decided to learn one of his solos that he played in the @drumeoofficial , adding a couple of my own fills and played on live shows in tour!
For this tour and solo especially, my favorite cymbal company @paistecymbals sent me a Brian's favorite hi hat, a classic 2002 Sound Edge 15'!♦️
It was a great experience, to think and play like Brian, while pumping up all 4 limbs, because almost all the solo are played with hi-hat splashes by left foot⚡
In general, I consider @briantichydrums the best modern rock/heavy drummer, who has maximum skills and knows everything and even more about classic rock!
Brian, thank you very much for the inspiration!✊🏻

Is this the GREATEST James Brown groove of all time? 🥁⚡️
Laying down the iconic beat from Sex Machine. It’s all about holding down that super tight pocket with special "Half Swung" feel!🤌🏻
Big respect to the legend Jabo Starks for creating one of the most infectious drum grooves in music history! 👑

Steve Jordan is a GOAT!⚡
One of my favour grooves with signature Steve Jordan's "Half Swung Feel". It looks easy but it’s actually quite difficult to play and really feel

Two days ago this world lost a wonderful human being and a great incredibly talented musician. He was a wonderful person with an open heart, kind and generous. He gave his all on stage and in life.
We've loved Glen and his music for more than half our lives (since 2009). It has always been the soundtrack which always supporting us in sad and happy moments and inspiring us.
And then in June 2024 we finally got to see Glen in Santiago de Compostela where we went as a family the three of us with our 5-year-old daughter Mina.
This was the first concert where I cried, it was during the song "Bird Of Sorrow", one of my favorite songs ever.
After the concert, we were lucky enough to meet Glen. It was one of those unforgettable moments when you feel like you've touched something beautiful. We were able to talk for a while. He took out his last guitar pick from a pocket the one he used at the concert and gave it to Mina. He also wrote to her a special message on a poster from the concert. He held our daughter in his arms and it was one of the happiest moments of our lives. We took a photo together and were very grateful.
After the concert as soon as we returned home Mina was so inspired that she immediately drew a picture of herself dancing with "Uncle Glen."
We eagerly awaited the next concert and imagined about how we would go and meet him again. He would see how Mina had grown up and she would gifted him that drawing of them dancing. And he would sign my CD again cause when he signed it that night and told me he'd written something special in Irish I was so happy that I couldn't wait for the marker to dry before folding the booklet and then saw how everything had smudged. I was even a little disappointed but we thought that the next time we ask him to sign it again and tell this story and then we'll all laugh together...)
We are grateful to fate that we were able to meet and get to know such an incredible person.
We can confidently call him our friend. He meant so much to us.
Our deepest condolences to his young son and wife.
.
The memory of him will live forever in our hearts.
Rest in peace dear Glen 🖤🕊️
