Meet Mr. Pravat Kumar Barik — a Pattachitra artisan from Raghurajpur, Odisha’s heritage craft village 🎨🙏

I wasn’t expecting THIS when I sat down to talk to him...

This handmade Pattachitra of Lord Jagannath took Pravat almost 2 weeks to complete — and if you look closely, even the eyes have tiny deities painted inside them.

Raghurajpur is home to some of India’s finest traditional artists, and Pravat is keeping this centuries-old craft alive, one brushstroke at a time. ✨

National Urban Conclave & Managerial Summit 2025 | Taj Skyline Ahmedabad - Venue Notes from an Architect & Urban Planner

As a delegate, I documented Taj Skyline not just as a 5-star stay, but as a MICE venue:

Design: 18-storey contemporary tower that interprets Ahmedabad's evolving spirit with subtle local motifs in interiors, while managing large conclave flows through independent banquet access and breakaway rooms.

MICE Functionality: Red-carpeted pre-function lobby with high ceilings, efficient delegate movement, and curated conference dining (Shamiana, Nonya) - critical for 200+ national delegates.

Location as Tourist: Sindhu Bhavan Road gives quick airport / Gandhinagar access and allows post-conclave city exploration - like the Atal Foot Over Bridge, a great example of urban place-making in Ahmedabad.
