MTB Nationals 17-18

I had 2 solid races that reflected where I was at that point in the season with all the setbacks leading to this point. I finished short track 23rd and XCO 31st/120 after my legs gave out the last half a lap due to dehydration. Nevertheless I hit my goal of pushing my body to its limit, so I’m happy and had fun.

It is Bittersweet because it’s my last year as a junior and I am going to take an extended break from competing and training at this level for a while. I made some really good improvements this season and over the years thanks to @adammyerson @newenglanddevo. I am forever grateful for their help these past few years. What a ride, no pun intended 😀.

Oh where bikes take you.
Came to Utah to race but got sick on race day. Enjoyed nature and family to the fullest. Learned how bad wild fires are and further hit home the message that we need to protect our climate NOW before it’s too late. by @roman__lin

First weeks of Kerstperiod cyclocross racing with @eurocrossacademyig. 3 races in the books (Antwerp. Hofstade, Zolder) providing insane experiences and tons of learning. So grateful to be racing for the first time in Belgium. On to the second half with another 3 races (Loenhout, Diegem, Mol).

Pretty cool end to a pretty sweet MTB season at 17-18 xco Nationals. Got caught behind a crash at the start. Then had to work my way up a tight course from 70th and crossed the line in 34th out of 120. I am happy with my performance and made some large improvement from last year. Thank you @usacycling for putting on such a fun event. Up next, Cross.
