The reception at one of our Kensington projects. With high ceilings and lots of light, the client spend most of her time in this room, reading and just enjoining the space that has a piano in the corner. So the textures and colour pallet are delicate and soothing. We enhance the interior architecture and designed elegant furnishing throughout.

A brief overview of our design process.

From the first conversation to the final installation, we accompany our clients through every stage of creating their home — with clarity, care, and attention to detail.

All projects are unique, and our approach adapts to their scale and complexity. Every phase — concept, technical design, bespoke manufacture, procurement, and installation has timelines that may range from a few weeks to several months — with larger projects unfolding over multiple years on site.

Each stage is carefully managed so our clients can focus on the pleasure of seeing their home take shape.

Before: The complex engineering phase of a very ambitious project. Substantial structural work was required to support the massive Green Onyx clad bath, a huge vanity unit, and complete steam room equipment.

After: Mayfair’s most luxurious bathroom is complete. Every inch is cladded in stunning Green Onyx. The immense structural work behind the scenes? All worth it for this seamless, spectacular result. The definition of uncompromising luxury.

An afternoon at PAD London in Berkeley Square

If you’re not familiar with it, PAD is a fair dedicated to 20th-century and contemporary collectible design and art. It’s a wonderful mix of gallery-level design, sculpture, lighting, and functional art.

When we visit fairs like this for our clients, we aren’t just looking at pretty furniture, we’re hunting for those hero pieces and artwork that help complement or generate the entire space design concept. We look for incredible craftsmanship and artistry: the conversation-starting lighting, the handcrafted console, or the sculpture that gives a home its soul and individuality.

It’s all about finding those rare, high-craftsmanship pieces that elevate a project from beautiful to personal and curated. #collectibledesig #padlondon #craftmanship #artandinteriors #londonartscene taken in PAD - London Art + Design by @romanointeriorarchitecture

At Decorex this year, I was completely focused on the sensory side of design as is vital to asses quality. Touch testing everything, feeling the real weight and patina of custom hardware, the deep pile of a hand-knotted rug, and how light catches a finish as you walk around it and view it from every angle.

It’s also where you get into the real technical grit with the makers. Asking how a piece is actually mounted, how it’s installed, and what makes it last.

The Weight & Feel: Testing hand-forged metals and rich textures up close.

Light & Reflection: Seeing how finishes respond to light from every angle, electrical fittings new technologies.

The Craft: Talking through installation details directly with the artisans.

Beyond the materials, it was just so good catching up with colleagues, bouncing ideas off each other, sharing visions, and talking about what’s next for our projects. Design lives in those up-close details you can’t get through a screen. #decorexinternational #textureexpert #lightingdecor #materiality #luxuryinterior taken in Kensington (Olympia) by @romanointeriorarchitecture

Come with us to Paris to source antique lighting for a project! Our client loves natural and floral themes, so we’re picking out one special piece from a trusted dealer. These pieces are sourced directly from private owners or salvaged from Parisian maisons being restored, mostly dating from the 18th, 19th, and early 20th centuries.

We also dug through their back storage to hunt for a few extra rare finds. Once selected, each piece goes through a full restoration, rewired to UK electrical and modern LED standards. We review all the necessary artisan touch-ups with our client in advance, ensuring everything is fully restored, tested, and prepped in France before shipping to the UK. #parisantiques #frenchinterior #lightingdesign #periodproperty #floraldecor taken in Paris, France by @romanointeriorarchitecture

Some details from the pieces we are sourcing in Paris for 3 different projects in UK and France. Some are bespoke, some antiques that will be refurbished and restored for our clients. All unique in their own way with incredible story behind them.#parisianstyle #frenchinterior #interiordetailsً #luxuryhomes #listedbuilding taken in Paris, France by @romanointeriorarchitecture

I love designing with the contrast between metal and stone , their weight, texture and ability to bring depth and character to an interior, and the way each finish responds to light, is endlessly fascinating.
Precision and craftsmanship are essential. The result is furniture and lighting with a sculptural presence, capable of shaping the atmosphere and feeling of a space.

A great evening with the Henge team, discovering their approach to materials and gathering inspiration for some our projects in development, particularly with metal cladded kitchens.

An evening celebrating the best of Italian design and craftsmanship.

A busy couple of weeks preparing client presentations.

Every project is shaped by a series of decisions: how materials meet, how proportions sit together, and how each element contributes to the wider design. A process that starts with the user and the property.

At the heart of it all is the story we create with our clients, connecting the design to their lifestyle, aspirations, family story and dreams, and weaving it into a home that feels truly their own.

A glimpse into the long process behind the finished space.

While we’re currently immersed in a large-scale Georgian property project, I kept thinking back to one of my all-time favorite restorations: this sweeping staircase in Mayfair.

Restoring historic architectural details takes real patience. It meant painstaking, micro-level work, delicately peeling back decades of heavy, overloaded paint to reveal the exquisite original craftsmanship hidden beneath.

The challenge is lo let this historic structure seamlessly blend with a fresh, contemporary interior. Highlighting the original craftsmanship while framing it within a modern aesthetic created an unbelievable contrast.

Taking a moment to catch my breath before an incredible autumn kicks off.

September is packed with new projects across Paris, London, Rome, and Buenos Aires, from historic British estates to sleek, modern Argentine residences.

A lot of energy ahead, but first: grounding myself in the why. Because true luxury isn’t just aesthetic, it’s always about designing around the people who will call it home.
