What happens when you question one of the most familiar objects on the dancefloor?

From AI rendering to dancefloor furniture.

We first came across Romanovna Studio’s booths online, where the images had already gone viral and were being called some of the most beautiful DJ booths in the world. We wanted to know what happened after the rendering, so we asked.

She took us inside the strange, backwards process of starting with something that already looks finished, then figuring out how to make it stand, sound right, travel, and actually work for a DJ.

Her first prototype, Alien, is now real.

The behind-the-scenes story of how an AI image made the jump off-screen and onto the dancefloor.
