I spent the last few days of a busy May @blackromancebookfestival & I’m so happy I went!!
I met so many amazing attendees and authors who love Black romance just as much as I do! The vibes, the community, and the overall experience were top tier yet my bank account begs to differ 🤭🤭🤭 Now I’m back in town & starting June reads📚💖

Earlier this week, we gathered to chat about Church Girl by @naimasimoneauthor & let’s just say the consensus was clear, it was a juicy read! We spent the night deep-diving into tropes, favorite moments, & of course all the bookish topics📚💬

Now, onto our September Pick → The Illusions of Power by @jlseegarsauthor (swipe to end).
This spicy, contemporary romance follows future First Lady Selene Taylor during the critical months of her husband’s Oval Office campaign.
