Wildflower, with a little extra attitude. 🌼

Effortless, playful and full of personality. The kind of piece that does all the talking.

A little Wildflower might be just what you need. ✨ by @romaria_knitwear

INTRODUCING THE EXPRESSIONIST. 🌸

Is it a little dramatic? Absolutely. Are we completely obsessed? Unapologetically yes. 🥂

Ease, with a little more expression. Light, airy and made to move with you. A playful wrap silhouette in fluid Tencel-linen, with our signature Wildflower embroidery adding just the right amount of sass.

Structure, softened. Expression, encouraged.

Our tiny first drop is already flying. Pre-orders are open, but don’t leave it too long to find yours. 👀 by @romaria_knitwear

We came. We connected. Day 3 of Fame Week.

THE WORLD IS WATCHING. WE’RE BUILDING. 🇿🇦🌍

FAME Week Africa brought together some seriously good people across film, fashion, design and the wider creative industries, with one conversation coming up again and again:

How do we take African creativity further into the world?

Not simply as inspiration, but as work to be commissioned, funded, worn, filmed, bought and properly valued.

A conversation we are, unsurprisingly, very interested in. 😉

So it was particularly good to see our brands moving through the week on some brilliant humans, including Bohang Moeko and Kim Jayde, while our own Zydia Botes joined the conversation on stage too.

South African talent. South African design. Very good rooms to be in.

And a small reminder that supporting local creative work is not abstract. Wear it. Buy it. Share it. Talk about it. Put it in the film. Tell a friend.

More of this, please. 🧶🇿🇦 by @romaria_knitwear

FAME Week Day 2 was incredible. Spoke on a panel about our amazing film @boyztripmovie.

SHE’S BEEN OUT AND ABOUT. NOW SHE’S YOURS. 🪞

From runways to award shows, the Bloomfield Cape has made her entrance ✨ Now she’s ready to bring a little wildness and a little structure to your wardrobe.

Knitted in our signature Wildflower jacquard, it plays well with dresses, tailoring or draped over something beautifully simple.

The first batch is small, so if she’s speaking to you, don’t wait.

INTRODUCING OUR NEW DRESS DUO. 🌸
A special edition capsule.

Meet The Essentialist + The Expressionist, our first move into lighter-weight dressing.
One dress is pared back and architectural. The other brings movement, freedom and play.
Same woman. Different mood. 😉

Cut from a fluid Tencel-linen blend, finished with our in-house Wildflower embroidery, and made locally in very small batches.

Photographed with our style muse, architect & multidisciplinary designer Nisha van der Hoven, at her Johannesburg home. 🤎

Tiiiiny first drop. Big feelings.
Pre-orders are open. Go go go. 👀

SOMETHING NEW IS TAKING SHAPE. 👀

A new chapter for Romaria.
Lighter fabrics. New silhouettes. Our Wildflower language, translated into embroidery for the first time.

Made here in Johannesburg, slowly and by very real hands.

First seen on the SA Fashion Week runway, the first few pieces landed in-store at Nine Yards today. And one has already left the building. 👀

The full reveal is coming very soon.

FROM DOORS TO APERTURES. 🚪

Back in 2019, we made a graphic pattern we simply called ‘Doors’.

It appeared in our first Romaria knitwear collection, sold out with the collection, and quietly became part of a much bigger story than we realised at the time.

Today we call it Apertures: our graphic interpretation of doors, thresholds and openings. A little reminder that a door is rarely just a door. It can mean movement, possibility, leaving, arriving, or simply seeing what’s on the other side.

Years later, the pattern is still evolving.

You’ll find it reworked across the Next Door Overcoat and Boyfriend Cardi, photographed in Coimbra, Portugal, returning the pattern to the architectural language that first inspired it.

Same visual language. New pieces. New places to take them.

Shop the Next Door Overcoat + Boyfriend Cardi now, in-store or online. Consider this your cue before the good sizes go. 👀 by @romaria_knitwear

GOOD IDEAS TRAVEL. ✈️

Carla, our co-owner, is based in Portugal but very much part of the daily rhythm of Something Good Studio.

She is rarely without a sketchbook, usually ten ideas ahead, and constantly sending through references, drawings, colour thoughts and new directions. Design machine queen, basically. 👑

Between Johannesburg and Porto, ideas move fast. They get shared, challenged, developed and eventually turned into something real.

We thought we’d show you a little more of that process.

First stop: coffee with Carla, and whatever she’s cooking up next. ☕️✨ by @romaria_knitwear
