we’ve been keeping a secret 🤍

over the past month we’ve been celebrating life as one. something we always dreamed of, but never expected so soon. God spoke, and we obeyed.

this past month has been full of learning curves, stretching, sacrifice, and growth, but through every moment God has shown up in ways we never expected. we’ve learned that marriage is so much more than love — it’s serving one another the way Christ serves us, choosing grace daily, praying together, and building a life centered around God instead of ourselves.

and truly, we have never been happier. the joy, peace, excitement, and growth we’ve experienced together this past month has felt supernatural. yes, we are young. yes, we could have waited. but we are not called to live by society’s standards — we are called to live by God’s word and be obedient to where He leads us.

the world says to wait until you have everything figured out, until you have enough money, enough experience, enough certainty. but God calls us to trust Him, not our own understanding. marriage was created by God and is something He deeply values and honors. although this may seem sudden to some, we have complete peace knowing this is where God called us.

“he who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the Lord.” — proverbs 18:22

“therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” — mark 10:9

“trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” — proverbs 3:5-6

to our friends & family who didn’t know yet — now you do 🤍 we know not everyone will fully understand our decision or timing, but we ask for grace, love, and support as we step into this new season together.

thank you Jesus for writing a better story than we ever could ourselves. by @romeo.akin
