almost too much to take all in, by the time you got down to the second floor, you had no brain cells left to appreciate what was there

as good as the show was, it needed some Serious editing…but I get it, you wanted to show of the new digs to their maximum…but still…

we deserved alcohol 👍🏼

toasting to still being able to function after that barrage

I think my favorite photo of the evening

with @mascot_studio on the stairs while two visitors are snapping away

a very commanding piece

intense fabric machinations throughout

and their fingernails were shell shards

in one of the many video rooms

made my heart happy to see Bacon & Dubuffet hanging out together

made it to

NEW HUMANS: MEMORIES OF THE FUTURE

closing August 9th

the sprawling show @newmuseum to inaugurate their new addition, to their woefully inadequate old building

I never liked the awkward narrow gallery spaces and always felt claustrophobic, so I rarely went to things there

happy to say this new wing allows for lots of breathing room, with expansive viewing areas more suited to having an enjoyable art experience, Kudos👍🏼

the opener here is almost the only way to look at the outdoor laundry lady 😬

starting on the 4th floor, where some type of tie in is being made with the human body and architecture, to begin with

I took this for @kylesoutthere of the Perisphere & Trylon

took this because it reminded me of as a child, I used to collect lots of clear plastic bottles, containers, shapes, and textures, and then construct cities on the sandy road divider/island in front of my house…pity I wasn’t photographing back then
