it’s the first morning where i felt the need to put socks on. i suppose this means it is time to take the summer dump out of my drafts & accept my fate in wearing socks until the spring 🧣🧍‍♀️🧥🧤🧦 by @romi.shad

hi hi !!! i’ve got the second episode of letras de cucarachas on la penca radio tomorrow !!! this episode i’m bringing on carmen leila,, a fellow homie of the iranian diaspora who djs & lives here in barcelona <3

we will be exploring past and current iranian expression through music created by people from inside and out of iran. we want to demonstrate the range in work created & how as a whole it compiles into an act of resistance 𓆣 𓆣

this last year has been particularly fucked up, yet through that still came many new projects really speaking to iranian resilience. i plan to show a bit of punk that has been released within the last year to show that. these projects include stuff by @lawrence.of.a.labia @siyahkal_stompers @taranehsworld & @kaaveh_saw

& carmen is bringing us back a bit with a little nostalgia with some songs she grew up listening to at home & at family parties. also to some stuff she discovered while living in new york like @googooshdolls ! she highlights the way music accompanies us in times of darkness even when done in a celebratory way.

i hope to see my fellow cockroaches online tmr
