A beautiful day in Philadelphia… taken in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania by @romilsjournal

I stood at the cremation ground today, saying goodbye to someone who had become smoke before my eyes. Amid the ash, the silence, and the scent of burning wood, I noticed a corner where spectacles hung on a door. The last possessions of those who no longer needed to see. Empty frames, still carrying the shape of forgotten faces. It unsettled me, the thought that every pair had once witnessed love, betrayal, ordinary mornings, and impossible dreams, only to end here, stripped of the eyes that gave them meaning. In the end, even our way of seeing the world is left behind. The fire consumes the body, time erases the name, and somewhere in a quiet corner of a cremation ground, a pair of glasses waits forever for a gaze that will never return.
