● "In this is love, not that we have loved Elohim, but that he loved us and sent His Son to be an atoning offering for our sins." ~1 John 4:10

● "Let us rejoice and exult and give Him the glory, for the marrige of the Lamb has come and His Bride has made herself ready;
it was granted her to clothe herself with fine linen, bright and pure - for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints." ~Revelation 19:7-8

I've tried 45 times to write this caption and not sound cheesy, so I'll cut strait to the point: here are some photos from my baptism that I wanted to share with you guys.

When I told my parents over 2 years ago that I wanted to get baptized, I didn't expect to wait this long. Yet, I am so incredibly glad I waited because everything fell into place so perfectly!
I was able to get baptized in New Zealand, the spot I got baptized in was so picturesque and beautiful, my Dad was able to baptize me - there's so much more.

A very special Thank you to my parents who have sacrificed and dedicated their time to teach me of the Lord and raise me in His ways. I am incredibly blessed with you two 🤍

Thank you Mami for the beautiful dress!

When the weekend approaches, and the busy-ness of this world slowly comes to a stop, I revel in what Father does.

The mood and the atmosphere in the home turns towards one of making that appointment with God Almighty. As our hearts turn inward, the oil begins to flow. I catch my eyes welling with tears reaping what years of sowing through prayer and fasting have produced.

When I married, I looked for a spouse who could also sing. Together we began praying over our future children that Father would make them Levites, and would annoint them with singing. That He would give us a heritage.

We desired that our home would be filled with the presence of Laughter, singing, and most importantly the tangible indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

Seeing my children sing for the Glory of God makes me realize that God is moving in mighty ways in my home. They may still be young, and learning, but through it, He has transformed it into a haven. I may be the smallest of vessels in the hand of a mighty God. I may steward them through the daily Grind, but it is Him alone who brings the increase: pressed down and shaken. He deserves the Glory.

Soli Deo Gloria, Eben-Ezer.

Yesterday was Father's Day here in NZ, and I want to give a very biased shoutout to the best dad there is out there.

You have stood strong through the thick and the thin. You were the village every mom needs. We did it together the last 17 years with 8 kids.

And when I thought I was at the end of my strength, you gracefully picked up the shifts and carried it with endurance.

The sleepless nights of newborn, you were right there with me rocking our children to sleep, when I could no longer hold myself up.

Through the stages of endless nappies to change, you were side by side changing them in rotation with me.

Through the learning to walk stages, you were teaching them, guiding them, holding them to ensure they learn smoothly, and quickly.

Through the sickness, you were right there with me wiping up spews and washing soiled laundry which seems never ending when you have 8 kids to care for.

Through feeding them solids, and teaching them to eat on their own, you were there taking turns with me guiding their hands with the utensils to ensure they're fed.

Through learning to ride their balance bike, you were there holding them tight to avoid scrapes and bruises.

Through learning to swim you were there holding them afloat so that they don't swallow too much water.

Through 5 weeks of bedrest from injury, you cooked food, cleaned the house, and tended to 7 kids.

Through long days of homeschooling, you helped them with lessons.

Through heartache you were quick to comfort and remind them that Father still loves them.

Through navigating uncertain feelings, you reassured them of who they are.

Through straying you gently disciplined bringing God's truth to them.

Through learning to drive, you were the chill, funny, might I say, happy-go-lucky teacher.

Through it all, God's word has always been the forefront guide to your life.

Seeing you loving His word, loving deep Bible study and discussion, encouraging the children to read the scriptures for life, has been possibly my favorite quality trait in you as a father.

John, I love you and am so happy Father chose me to walk this journey by your side.

Happy 18 year anniversary to us.

Together, we've grown, we've journeyed many miles, moved states 3 times, countries 3 times, house 10 times.

We've birthed 8 blessings, faced losing parents and a sibling, and miscarriage also.

We've walked through the valley of the shadow of death on multiple occasions with the fear of widowhood threatening to rip the chord of our marriage covenant. We've made awesome family friends that have stood by us through the waves of the tempest.

We've lived in seasons of abundance and being able to bless others, but also poverty and scrapping the bottom of the barrel.

We've walked through parenthood trenches with virtually no community to help ease our load for many years now, and yet keep feeling like strength beyond human comprehension keeps being filled into our cups.

Amidst all the highs and lows, one thing has remained steadfast: the love and blessing of intimacy that God has gifted us.

Eben-Ezer, until now He has helped us.

The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob has been our Rock of Refuge and strongtower.

Soli Deo Gloria.

"He has made everything beautiful in its time."

I am not well!
How has this little son of mine passed me up in height?

Just yesterday he was toddling around, reaching up to me to pick him up, and now he looks me straight in the eyes, and calls me bruh.

He's finally found his groove as a teen.
Also, he's finally enjoying his soft curls and managing them instead of fighting against them to straighten out.

As I was admiring both him and his handsome father, I realized just how quickly time has passed and how much of a man he's becoming.

His days aren't filled with as many childish activities as they once were.

He's hardworking, chopping down wood and bringing it in to ensure a warm evening. He's helping dad with projects around the house and keeping the lawns looking tidy.

He enjoys cooking new meals and has become a pro at washing the dishes too.

He's finally found his love for music, and we love it.

He loves to hunt and fish and wishes he could find a mate to go with that could teach him the ropes.

He isn't one to speak quickly or show others how wise he is. He prefers to observe more than speak. However, I enjoy seeing his acute sense to details when he does speak up or show me his talent. I know that's going to come in handy when God directs His path in the future.

I recently noticed just how quick-but-sure-footed he is. He's always enjoyed sports competitions and winning, but mate is he fast or what?!?! A modern Asaiel if you will.

When we hiked Tarawera falls, his 5 year old sister got a blister from her shoe and couldn't walk anymore. I asked him to carry her down the steep mountainside that was slippery (2 minutes). He put her on his back and not only carried her down that small portion of the mountain, but ran down the entire steep mountain portion (10 minutes) and all the way to the car (20 minutes) with her in his back. I was terrified and shocked, but he made it look like a stroll in the park.

When I see what a capable, hardworking, handsome son God has gifted me, I stand in awe and humble thanksgiving.

I'm so honored to have known you and loved you for 20 of those years.

You have brought me so much tenderness, gentleness, and laughter over those years.

Tarawera Falls photo dairy

Many people don't know this about me so maybe this is also a little get to know me entry: but I love photography.

I specifically enjoy nature photography.
And even more specifically: Waterfalls.
I guess it helps that one of my favourite pasttimes of motherhood are the many hikes we take as a family: all 8 kids undertow.

I never lost myself to homemaking. Motherhood brought out the creative side of me. I found myself passionate about things I never knew were there. Traveling to see what artistry God has painted is one of them.

Together, we've visited 45 waterfalls in New Zealand alone.

If you come with me on a hike, one thing to note is that I can get lost for minutes on end in my own world of taking photos on my DSLR until I am satisfied with the outcome.

My husband knows this and had come to appreciate this and enjoys just sitting in the silence of trickles as well as the roar of gushing falls.

Our kids love the no rush approach we take to these hikes, and run up ahead exploring the boulders, embankment, and side trails. They oftentimes get dressed to take a waterfall swim wherever possible. Some of their exploring scares me, but I try to give them freedom within safety boundaries so that they live life to the fullest. The littles play within arms reach but the older ones do really make me hold my breath.

I oftentimes talk about the health reasons behind waterfall hikes. The negative ions from waterfalls, charge the positive ions in our cells and set in motion healing to our mental and physical wellbeing.

Anyway, hope you enjoy this scrapbook post of mine.
