After consulting with the U.S. National Weather Service, the Daviess County Emergency Management Agency, and the Daviess County Fiscal Court, the decision was made to cancel the remainder of ROMP Festival 2026 due to ongoing and significant rainfall that created unsafe camping conditions and limited safe access to and from the festival grounds. Shortly after this announcement, Governor Andy Beshear declared a State of Emergency for Kentucky. Throughout it all, the safety of our attendees, artists, volunteers, vendors, crew, and staff remained the top priority guiding every decision. Even with the weather challenges at the end of the weekend, ROMP 2026 was something truly special. We are so grateful to everyone who joined us and helped bring the festival to life. The weekend was filled with incredible music, powerful performances, new friends, late-night memories, and the unmistakable sense of community that makes ROMP what it is. We felt so much joy seeing friends reunite, new connections form, and so many people fully embrace the spirit of the festival. Moments like these are what make all the planning and effort worthwhile, and we will carry this year with us for a long time. Thank you for bringing your energy, kindness, and love for music to the festival grounds. It means more than we can express. We look forward to seeing you at ROMP Festival 2027! by @rompfest

Four days of pickin' and grinnin' at an unforgettable @ROMPFest. 🪕 The stages and sites were filled with incredible music, workshops, and festival fun, along with stories shared at our "We Hold These Truths" mobile interview station about people’s connections to place, culture, and history. Bluegrass lovers don't let the weather dampen their spirits either, so on the final day when outdoor programming couldn't take place due to storms, spontaneous jam sessions broke out in the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum (@bluegrasshall). Attention to those camping near Yellow Creek: Water levels are rising and are expected to continue increasing as additional rainfall moves into the area this afternoon. For your safety, please pack up your campsite and move to higher ground as soon as possible. Daviess County Emergency Management Agency is on site and will be notifying campers along the creek. by @rompfest

After careful consultation with the U.S. National Weather Service (NWS), Daviess County Emergency Management Agency, and the Daviess County Fiscal Court, we have made the safest decision to cancel the remainder of ROMP Festival 2026. Today, the National Weather Service provided an updated forecast calling for significant, sustained rainfall that is expected to create increasingly hazardous camping conditions and make exiting the festival grounds more difficult throughout the remainder of the day. The safety of our attendees, artists, volunteers, vendors, crew, and staff is our highest priority. We ask that you begin packing up your campsite and make plans to exit the park as safely as possible. We always pour our hearts and souls into making ROMP the most special weekend of the year, and we cannot express how sad we are to make this decision. Thank you for your understanding, patience, and support during this difficult situation. Safety is our top priority today, and we will provide more information soon. by @rompfest
