It's almost been a month since we lost Varian. The grief comes in waves that crash down with no warning. It isn't just the humans, but the dogs too. We have lost a member of our pack, a friend and a gentle soul.

Looking back at videos and pictures is hard, because he should still be here with us. Sitting at my feet, getting too excited to go on a hike, or chewing a chuck-it ball loud enough for me to shoo him into another room. But he's not. He's gone. All we have left is memories and dog hair.

Some day we'll all be together again, but for now, we miss you buddy.

I’m trying to grieve my dog and I got sasquatches’ greasy cousin in gym shorts lurking in the bushes. If my dogs barked at a bear, they would turn and walk away from us. Just saying 🤬🤬🤬 time to find a new swimming spot.. by @rompswithruffians

The river has been a LOT colder this year!! Which yay, less chance of algae blooms but BRRR in the shade! We found turtle eggs in this spot again! (Probably will share if I remember to 👍)
