@thrifthood_ is an absolute gem of a store in the heart of SLC, Utah. Heavily decorated with Utah Jazz memorabilia and insane attention to detail from the 90s. I wanted to capture everything but also wanted to leave some surprises for people planning on going. There is so much to see for yourself in this time machine. From the retro blue bench outside (imported from AZ) that is taken in and out at the beginning and end of each day, to the music and tv noise inside - all of your senses will be transported to a time when life was much simpler. taken in Salt Lake City, Utah by @romy.tiff

Shumba! Initially, I was leaving the Eastern market and saw this super cool van that had incredible details and work done to it - I had to know more. Shumba was sitting in the passenger seat enjoying a quick break while he shared with me the incredible story behind his beloved van. Definitely ask him about that when you meet him. His art explains his patience and creativity behind his giraffe art made out of aluminum cans. Hence the “Canimals” license plates! The tall one pictured is the actual size of a new born giraffe. @nadah__designs I met in passing because he was asking someone to take a picture of him in his booth with his phone. I couldn’t just pass by and not offer some pro photos for him! @do.1400 Is truly walking art. Cherif, originally from France never in his wildest dreams thought he would be in Washington DC. Talking with him restored my faith in humanity. He’s an incredible person who has been put on this earth to share his love for, not just life, but art through living. He and I saw eye to eye on how human interaction is meant to be shared. Just in the short time I was speaking to him, he had a young visitor come that he had known for over a decade from the area. They had grown up and he mentioned how he had known her since she was just a child and she too treated him like family. Cherif is a magical human being. The sunlight reaching Nick’s face this moment left the Sun’s surface about eight minutes ago after taking nearly 100,000 years to travel from the core to the surface.

Every past experience Nick has had has inevitably put him in what seemed like the center of the world for the largest fitness event in North America and arguably the world - A 10 day HYROX event that Nick led from start to finish with challenges that only one could imagine while setting the stage for 50,000 athletes plus 30,000 spectators on a pier in NYC.

While talking with Nick, I wanted to capture the calmness he brought with his leadership, the light hearted nature that surrounds him and the immense sense of comfort I feel in his presence.
