2025 summary, truly a busy year, which one is your favourite? 😉 Tried to bring everything that represents my generation into the Hot Wheels lineup. It’s my honor to work on some of the first Hot Wheels Ferraris after a 10-year hiatus. Some projects were incredibly challenging to get right, but thank you to the entire team for pulling them off. Love this job for letting me express my taste in cars and my OCD-level attention to every detail. Looking forward to 2026! taken in Los Angeles, California by @ronalderw

Another LA convention in da book! Huge congrats to @bryan.benedict.73 as the dinner guest. Rarely showing my convention haul as I usually buy hundreds of cars, but this time I learnt from @tuske427 to pick quality over quantity. Still a few dozen but certainly way less than I used to be, can’t believe I can acquire the 2004 and 2005 Designer Award car in my collection, also crazy to get the Vector employee car WX-3🫪 And yes finally get the 1999 Scum Chumps 2 pack 😆 Happy to see all the old friends and made some new one! See y’all in the next one! taken in Los Angeles, California by @ronalderw

Yellow fellow. Let's talk about that.

This is a 1997 Nissan Stagea 260RS AutechVersion. Designed by Masato Inoue, the Stagea was a mid-sized station wagon produced by Nissan from 1996 to 2007.

Unveiled on 24 September 1996, the Stagea was advertised as Nissan's "advanced touring wagon" and was developed to compete with the Subaru Legacy Touring Wagon among other similar cars. Its design was intended to be made similar to Nissan's Skyline range, specifically the R34 generation, though it was mechanically identical to the C34 Nissan Laurel. Three trim levels were offered, namely G, X and RS, while the Stagea was only offered at Nissan Prince Store dealerships.

The Stagea received updates in August 1997, introducing new updated engines and a number of model configurations, while a facelift occurred in August 1998, giving the car minor exterior changes. In October 1997, a high-performance version of the Stagea, named the 260RS AutechVersion (alternatively AutechVersion 260RS, 260RS for brevity), tuned by Nissan's tuning arm, Autech. Priced at about ¥4.4 million when new, production of the 260RS commenced in November 1997 at Nissan's Musashimurayama Plant, with Autefh handling performance upgrades.

Under the hood of the 260RS was a 2.6L RB26DETT twin-turbocharged inline-6, mated to a 5-speed FS5R30A manual driving all four wheels using the ATESSA E-TS all-wheel drive system; many of these performance components were taken from the R33 Skyline GT-R. Other modifications include Brembo brakes, chassis strengthening, upgraded suspension, a unique bodykit and other minor aesthetic changes. The car is officially said to produce 276 hp but many sources believe the car's actual horsepower to be higher. Production ended in March 2001 with the discontinuation of the Stagea; 1,734 were produced, of which 986 were pre-facelift models.

Now this casting was designed by Ron Wong and introduced in 2026. It features swappable wheels and hood and an attachable roof box. This is currently its only release.

A curiosity: this project has been in the works for a long time, hence the "unusual" toy number. #hotwheels #hotwheelscollector #nissanstagea #stagea #rb26dett by @ronalderw

Utilitarian. Let's talk about that.

This is a 2008 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S. Designed by Steve Murkett, the Cayenne is a line of luxury SUVs produced by Porsche since 2002.

Unveiled at the 2002 Paris Motor Show, the Cayenne was Porsche's first foray into the SUV market; it was the brand's first off-road capable vehicle since the Junior and Super Junior tractors of the 1950s, the first production Porsche with four doors and the first Porsche with a V8 engine since the 928 was discontinued in 1995. Its name was conceived by advertising agent Manfred Gotta while the car was priced starting at $55,900 when new. The Cayenne was launched to polarizing reception initially which would cool over time with the car's good performance.

When initially launched, the Cayenne was only available in two trim levels: the Cayenne S and Cayenne Turbo, powered by a 4.5L M48/00 V8 and a 4.8L M48/50 twin-turbocharged V8 respectively. Later in the car's life, further trim levels were introduced, such as the base Cayenne in 2004, Cayenne Turbo S in 2006 and the Cayenne Diesel in 2009. The Cayenne underwent a facelift in 2007 for the 2008 model year, with Michael Mauer, Porsche's chief designer, overseeing its design.

The Cayenne Turbo S was originally introduced in 2006, mainly as a means for Porsche to compete with Mercedes-Benz's ML 63 AMG. The Cayenne Turbo S is equipped with a low-range transfer case, locking diff and height-adjustable suspension. The 2008 Cayenne Turbo S, priced at about $122,100, used a 550 hp 4.8L M48/51 twin-turbocharged V8 mated to a 6-speed Aisin TR-60SN/09D Tiptronic S automatic; it did 0-60 mph (97 km/h) in 4.7 seconds. Production of the first generation Cayenne ended in 2009, with a second generation introduced in 2010; 276,652 Cayennes were produced.

Now this casting was designed by Ron Wong and introduced in 2026. It features a trailer hitch. This is currently its only release.

A curiosity: some things had to be changed about the set in which it was released. What had to change I will leave up to your interpretation. #hotwheels #hotwheelscollector #porschecayenne #cayenne #porschecayenneturbo by @ronalderw

Revoluzione. Let's talk about that.

This is a 2024 Lamborghini Revuelto. Designed by Mitja Borkert and Nelson Simões, the Revuelto is a mid-engined plug-in hybrid high-performance sports car manufactured by Lamborghini since 2023 for the 2024 model year.

As with other Lamborghinis the Revuelto is named for a fighting bull, this being a Spanish fighting bull that fought in a Barcelona arena in the 1880s. Unveiled in an online event in March 2023, the Revuelto is Lamborghini's first plug-in hybrid car and the first true hybrid Lamborghini (the Sián FKP 37 and Countach LPI 800-4 used a mild hybrid system). The car replaces the Aventador as the flagship car in Lamborghini's lineup.

The Revuelto is powered by a 6.5L L545 V12, assisted by three electric motors mated to an 8-speed Graziano dual clutch; these combine to produce 1,001 horsepower. The car's monocoque is constructed of carbon fiber, making it 10% lighter than the Aventador's chassis, with the rear of the chassis having high-strength aluminum alloys. The car uses Lamborghini's Aerodynamica Lamborghini Attiva (ALA) system, having vents under the headlights and behind the doors. It also has active aerodynamics in the form of a rear wing, with the exhaust pipes shaped around the wing; the wing produces more downforce than its predecessor.

Inside, the Revuelto features more interior space and four driving modes: Strada, Sport, Corsa and the new Città driving mode, reducing the car's power for daily usage and extra comfort for use on urban roads, with the instrument cluster showing the state or charge and energy recovery. A small display is located on the passenger's side to monitor speed. Production commenced around July 2023, with the first deliveries in the last quarter of 2023.

Now this casting was designed by Ron Wong and introduced in 2026. This is currently its only release.

A curiosity: car was first available as a 2024 model year model as opposed to 2023 as seen on the card. #hotwheels #hotwheelscollector #lamborghinirevuelto #lamborghini #revuelto by @ronalderw

Ultimate to the extreme. Let's talk about that.

This is a McLaren P1 GTR. Designed by Frank Stephenson, the P1 GTR is a track-only version of the P1, McLaren's flagship sports car.

First unveiled at the 2014 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, the P1 GTR celebrates the 20th anniversary of McLaren's victory at the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans, with the GTR name revived for this model. Dubbed "the Ultimate Track-focused Driver's Supercar", McLaren initially had no intention of building the P1 GTR but would eventually relent after some of the P1's buyers began asking for a more extreme version dedicated for track use. The production version of the P1 GTR would be unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.

Built by McLaren Special Operations, production of the P1 GTR commenced after the 375th and final P1 was built. Priced at about $3.1 million, the P1 GTR's price included a worldwide owner's track day series, which allowed owners access to events at international Formula One circuits, access to McLaren's driver simulator and a team of race technicians for each car. Of note is that the P1 GTR was initially only available to P1 owners; this policy would later be changed, allowing those who wanted a P1 GTR but had no interest in a standard P1 to purchase one for a lower cost.

The P1 GTR is powered by a 3.8L M838TQ twin-turbocharged V8 mated to a 7-speed Graziano dual clutch, assisted by a McLaren E-Motor; the car produces 986 hp compared to 903 hp in the P1, although McLaren made no elaboration on the increase in power. It features race-prepared suspension, a fixed rear wing with active aerodynamics and a newly-designed titanium and Inconel exhaust system. Production of the P1 GTR ended in 2016; 58 were produced.

Now this casting was designed by Ron Wong and introduced in 2026. This is currently its only release.

Super light sport. Let's talk about that.

This is a 2013 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series. Designed by Mark Fetherston, the SLS AMG Black Series is a high-performance version of the SLS AMG.

The SLS AMG was originally launched at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show; it acts as Mercedes-AMG's halo car and was the first automobile to be developed by AMG from scratch. Designer Mark Fetherston had designed the car to be a modern interpretation of the 300 SL, with the SLS AMG acting as a spiritual successor to that car. The SLS AMG is largely assembled by hand, with the body shell built by Magna Steyr and transferred to Sindelfingen for final assembly, while AMG in Affalterbach builds the engines.

The SLS AMG Black Series, the highest-performance version of the SLS AMG, was unveiled at the 2012 LA Auto Show as part of Mercedes-Benz's Black Series of high-performance vehicles. The 6.2L M159 V8 and 7-speed Getrag 7DCL750 dual clutch were retained on the Black Series, although both have been retuned; the engine now produces 622 horsepower while the transmission is installed lower to achieve a lower center of gravity as well as faster shifting speeds. Due to significant use of carbon fiber the Black Series is 154 lb (70 kg) lighter than the SLS AMG.

The Black Series also features a locking rear diff, new AMG Ride Control suspension, optional AMG aerodynamics packages, an optional Bang & Olufsen BeoSound surround sound system and seven different exterior colors. The car has a 0-60 mph (97 km/h) time of 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 196 mph (315 km/h). Sales began in June 2013 with a MSRP of $275,000; the car was intended to be strictly limited production. Production of the Black Series, and the SLS AMG as a whole, ended in early 2014; the car has no direct successor, with Mercedes-Benz repeatedly stating they have no plans to produce a successor.

Now this casting was designed by Ron Wong and introduced in 2026. This is currently its only release.
