Ironman Weymouth 70.3 2026🏊🚲🏃‍♂️

Time - 5:58:27

Well what can I say, an absolute cracker of a weekend start to finish.

Swim 38:37
The goal was to come in under 40 minutes, by no means the fastest swimmer but was more than happy coming out of the water.

Bike 3:07:21
To break the 3 hour mark for the 90k was a bit ambitious for me so set myself 3.10, so to come in under that with stopping for a wee I’ll take. Felt like I had more to give on the bike but didn’t want to push it too hard and pay for it on the run.

Run 1:59:39
I knew all the was left was to run a sub 2 hour half and I was on for the sub 6 hours. Felt really strong for the first 16k, with 5k to go I could feel cramp slowly starting to creep into my left hamstring which slowed me up and was not sure I was going to get the sub 6. We managed to get there by the skin of my teeth but the last 3k was tough.

I was over moon with my performance. Although there are definitely many things to work on. But for a first triathlon I’m pretty chuffed👊🏼

Never in a million years did I think this is something I would be doing in my spare time. But I’m definitely here for it.

Would like to say a massive thanks to my friends and family for all the amazing support over the weekend❤️

Extra special thanks to @chloe_brett_ for putting up with my mood swings and constant naps from the early morning😂❤️

The perfect build to the next big challenge…
