This poster hangs above my office desk.
I remember being 16 at Tower Records and looking at the cover of “Welcome to Hell” amazed that a band would put a pentagram blatantly across their LP cover. On the back a photo of the band wielding an axe and other weapons thinking (these guys are nuts, I’d never try to fight them).
I must of held that record multiple visits to Tower but didn’t purchase “what if it’s just lame heavy metal?” Six months later “Black Metal” was released and my friend Mike said “you gotta hear this…!” And loaned me his copy. I’ve been a fan since.
Venom were loud, aggressive, unapologetic, sometimes sloppy and had all the cool things I liked about metal. Not to mention a punk rock “we don’t give a fuck if we don’t sound professional” attitude
I was lucky enough to see the OG Venom both times they played LA. In the later years I also saw Venom Inc. and Cronos’s Venom twice. Both were very good. Yet no one’s been able to top the master Cronos.. that voice. That attitude and the silly between song commentary…
I always hoped the original 3 would put aside their differences and play together again. At the least I hope they settled differences.
Rest well Conrad “Cronos” Lant
Thank you for the music and mayhem.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RON!!
Let’s hear it for the man with the plan, Mr. Ron Confict!! We hope your day is filled all the cats, coffee, Jim Beam, and records we could never afford. Thanks for holding down our lives for the past 15 years with that beautiful bass slap. We couldn’t do it without you, bro. All the love.

Pittsburgh was epic.
Thank you Dusty @skull_presents for having @finalconflictofficial perform at Skullfest XVI !!
Grateful to have shared the stage with brilliant bands on Saturday. Also so good to see so many friends gathered. Some we haven’t seen in a few years.
Was having such a good time I stayed out late for the afterparty to watch @notimepgh absolutely crush. (I swear that band is incapable of playing a bad show).
Another highlight…. @shortdrums @legendsneverdiet and I visited Monroeville Mall (where the OG Dawn of the Dead was filmed)!! Bucket list shit!!!
What a weekend. by @ronconflict

Time for a little of the Ol’ Ultraviolence with @lowerclassbratsofficial at @tveyenyc.

I’ve loved these dudes forever, it’s wild to see kids that were born after the first records came out tearing it up.

Thanks to @boilinghotgatorade for making it happen. taken in TV Eye NYC by @ronconflict

This tour has been an absolute pleasure. But going to the infamous Discord House ringing the doorbell and Ian Mackaye answers the door…..
To meet one of your inspirations/heroes and to find out they are as kind, humble, gracious and hilarious as you thought them to be. Fuuuuuck…
Minor Threat and Dischord records mean the world to me. Had it not been for the path they and Black Flag /SST laid out. I’d be doing the average 9 to 5 and be a lot less happy.
The work they put in years ago has always been the template with what I based Crawlspace Booking on. And I’m beyond grateful to be able to try to live up to what they laid out.
It was beyond hard for all of us not to geek out on Ian and say “You rule so hard!!!” He spent more time than we expected with us. Swapped stories and news of upcoming Dischord projects. I also got to show him a photo of the first time he and I informally met in 1982 (slide 4: photo by @edwardcolver )
This visit made my year. Beyond happy for this to have happened with my bandmates @lowerclassbratsofficial @vaxine_nyc and @s__l__u__g__
Don’t be afraid to try and live your dreams kids. Cause a lot of times they can work out. by @ronconflict
