Yes, I'm an author. No BS! 100% self-published. (Probably still on AMZ). Written the old-fashioned way. The hard way. #HeresTheThing 😆 if I can do it, so can you. If I were doing it again today, I would defo remix a few things in my approach. I wouldn't waste any time typing like a Muppet. Audio or video recordings would be transcribed to a text manuscript. Whisper ASR from OpenAI can be used to transcribe media for free. A few hours of audio/video is all you need. Your mileage may vary. There are many transcription options free and paid, pick your poison. (Most are just wrappers for Whisper ASR). AI would be used through out the entire process. Just don't use AI to write from scratch. I would research using a ChatGPT or Claude for the editing and formatting. The book cover would defo be AI, 😆! [TL;DR - NotebookLM is great at summarizing documents.] If you're trying to understand what's what with this SpaceX IPO, you can use AI for the breakdown/summary. This is an example of using NotebookLM's audio overview feature. All you need to do is download the prospectus, or any doc you want to use, press the audio overview button, and it auto generates a podcast-style audio with two AI hosts. The full audio overview is 24 minutes long, and it's actually insightful. If I was an investor I would defo read the full doc. To take it to the next level, you can get transcripts from financial experts and have the AI address issues they mention. This is just one of the many things you can do with NotebookLM. I'd imagine creators can use AI for reading contracts and other legal docs. --- 📌 Instagram Terms of Use — Creator Checklist ✅ Broad License Granted (Section 4.3) Instagram can use, modify, distribute, and create derivative works from your content. It's royalty-free, transferable, and sub-licensable. Props to the devs working on Adobe podcast, the Enhance Speech feature is legit. The difference between the original audio and finished version is night and day. The old BMCC was notorious for trash audio, and a recorder was almost always needed. Not only did Enhance Speech remove the background noise, it also boosted the audio. The original LUFS was well under -30db, the finished version is reading -20db. I can confidently use this on client projects without needing a recorder. This will help keep the kit simple as possible. If this is how good the Lav sounds, I want to see how the shotgun-mic and headset performs in Adobe Podcast. by @ronellcross

First time using CapCut, just wanted to see what's what with the color tools. No scopes, but overall it's not that bad. The middle portion was supposed to be the CapCut AI color test, but I'm not upgrading, haha! This is what it's going to be till I get back on a machine that can handle Resolve. by @ronellcross

Did you know you can use ChatGPT to guide through your camera gear settings. I saw an person from OpenAI so on YouTube, so I figured I'd give it a shot, and to my side it even worked on my old camera. Crazy thing is, the brand a model number of the camera isn't visible or including in the prompt. If you need help with your camera gear you should give it a shot. Props to everyone not getting involved with the social nonsense on the "bird" app. Just a heads up. In Meta Business Suite - Audience Manager, you can create custom, lookalike, and saved audiences. If your brand has an Instagram business account, you can now create a Custom Audience of people who follow your account (among other options). You can target these audiences with ads, and or, promoted (boosted) content. You can even build custom audiences of users who consume specific amounts of your videos. All I'm saying is, you have options that are worth checking out in Meta Business Suite. Download the Meta Business Suite app, if you haven't done so already. by @ronellcross

Easily use your RED camera for IG Stories, Ads, and IGTV. All you need to do is go into the menus/overlays/guides/action guide, set the mode to user, and set the aspect ratio to .56:1, and you'll be able to frame your shot for the 9x16 while shooting 16x9. This might be old hat for some of you out there, for everyone else, you're welcome. haha! This can also be done for none RED cameras and monitors that can customize their overlays. Obviously, your mileage will vary. Turning your camera sideways is for the birds. For the record, NO, you will not notice a difference from the increased resolution for turning your camera sideways. IG Shopping troubleshooting REMIX!. The automated IG Shopping approval system was throwing fits for a couple of days. I was racking my brain going back and forth trying to figure how to solve it. The answer is that the IG Shopping Shopify sales channel app is trash. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they made it, but it's not done, that joker needs some more work. After you use the FB sales channel app to set up your FB Shop, use Flexify to get your product feed. Then you build your catalog in Catalog manager and add your product feed to your catalog. Next, you have to connect your IG business profile to that catalog that you own. Once you're done, all you have to do is submit your IG business profile for approval through the catalog manager. What paying clients really want from video. Except for unique cases, your camera's specs are irrelevant. Don't position your service as a vehicle for vanity metrics. Instead, position your service as a vehicle to get valuable results for your client. The price you charge should be a fraction of the value the client wants. Don't focus on the deliverables/output. The only thing the really matters is the results. It's not always money, sometimes it's about leads, calls, traffic, but it usually is directly or indirectly about trying to get money.
