“You’re in the right place.”💚💜❤️🤍🖤 by @roni_cakes

One of the quietest signs of growth is realizing you can disappoint someone without immediately abandoning yourself to make it better.

You can care that they’re disappointed.

You can listen.

You can be kind.

And still stand by a decision you made thoughtfully.

Someone else’s discomfort doesn’t automatically mean you’ve done something wrong.

Sometimes you’re simply learning to make room for your own needs, too. 🤍 by @roni_cakes

You don’t have to become cold to become more protective of yourself.

You don’t have to stop caring.

You don’t have to stop being understanding.

You can keep your softness.

Just stop believing that your softness requires you to tolerate everything.

A kind heart deserves boundaries, too. 🤍 by @roni_cakes

There’s a difference between being at peace with someone…

and being afraid to disturb the peace.

One allows you to be yourself.

The other can slowly teach you to hide the parts of yourself that feel inconvenient.

Pay attention to the difference.

You deserve relationships where honesty has room to exist, too. 🤍 by @roni_cakes

Sometimes we call it keeping the peace when we’re really just afraid of what might happen if we speak honestly.

We don’t bring it up.

We convince ourselves it’s fine.

We keep showing up the same way, hoping the discomfort will eventually disappear.

But unspoken feelings don’t always disappear just because we’ve learned to work around them.

Sometimes peace begins when we’re finally honest with ourselves about what isn’t working.

Even if we haven’t figured out what to do about it yet. 🤍 by @roni_cakes

Sometimes we don’t realize how often we put ourselves last.

We agree because explaining feels harder.

We stay quiet because we don’t want to disappoint anyone.

We ignore what we need because someone else needs us more.

And eventually, putting ourselves last starts to feel normal.

But just because something is familiar doesn’t mean it has to stay that way.

You can begin choosing differently, one small moment at a time. 🤍 by @roni_cakes

Maybe the goal isn’t to become someone who never struggles.

Maybe it’s to become someone who knows how to return to herself.

Someone who can make a mistake without giving up on herself.

Someone who can feel uncomfortable without immediately running back to what’s familiar.

Someone who can make a promise to herself and keep practicing how to honor it.

You don’t need to become a perfect woman.

You are learning to become a woman you can count on.

And that changes more than you realize. 🤍 by @roni_cakes

Someone may not like the version of you who finally speaks up.

Someone may call you different when you stop making everything easier for them.

Someone may misunderstand a choice that took you months to find the courage to make.

That doesn’t automatically mean you’ve done something wrong.

Growth won’t always receive applause.

Sometimes the most important approval is the quiet feeling of knowing you didn’t abandon yourself this time. 🤍 by @roni_cakes

Not every uncomfortable feeling means you’ve made the wrong decision.

Sometimes you feel guilty because you’re doing something unfamiliar.

Sometimes you feel uneasy because someone isn’t getting the version of you they’re used to.

And sometimes the hardest part of changing is learning not to run back to what feels familiar just to make the discomfort go away.

Give yourself a moment.

You can feel uncomfortable and still be making a choice that honors you. 🤍 by @roni_cakes

Sometimes the hardest part of changing is allowing people to see you differently.

Especially the people who are used to the version of you who always explained, always understood, and always made room for everyone else.

But you’re allowed to grow beyond the role people remember you in.

You don’t have to prove it.

You don’t have to defend it.

You just have to keep choosing the person you’re becoming.

Even when others haven’t caught up yet. 🤍 by @roni_cakes

One of the quietest signs of growth is realizing you have a choice.

You can pause before responding.

You can let people misunderstand you.

You can stop carrying things that aren’t yours.

You can choose differently, even when the old way feels more familiar.

You don’t have to get every decision right.

You just have to keep learning to listen to yourself.

That’s how self-trust grows.

One small choice at a time. 🤍 by @roni_cakes

Your intuition doesn’t always arrive loudly.

Sometimes it sounds like:

“I don’t think this is for me anymore.”

And that’s enough to start listening. by @roni_cakes
