Sorry for posting only about 4x a year, but I refuse to post for the sake of posting. I have a thriving business right now (praise God) and I believe it’s because of a) Jesus Christ, and b) the fact that even though my entire industry is yelling at me to post more reels and carousels and this that and the other in order to retain my relevance, my relevance has always come from the grace of God. So here I stay, relevant I remain; maybe it will fade away - and to that I will say yes whatever you please God because He gives and takes away, blessed be His name.

Went full-time freelance this year and it was terrifying but also pretty cool because God lead me straight into it. That’s the thing you gotta do the things that He leads you into and I don’t think He’s leading us into to reducing our creativity down to a posting schedule or rotating trend. I am constantly inspired by what I see here and I am also simultaneously disappointed by how fickle this platform has become.

I’m a scribe first and foremost.

My job is not to get you views, listens, traction, engagement. My job is to get the heart of who you are connected with the audience that God wants for you.

That’s my job. And numbers, algorithms, and trends can play a part but they will never ever trump the importance of storytelling.

So instead of another post about work, let me tell you a story about my year so far (on film). My work is so deeply interconnected with my life, with who I am to myself, to others, to Christ. Do I love well? Do I obey God? Those things should matter because it will bleed into the work that you produce. I care about my real life more than my business, because one will make the other flourish and grow.

And my real life is really nice. Everyday I wake up, go for a walk and tell God that I love Him. I work from the best cafe ever (shoutout @daydays.au), then I go home and keep going. Often I’ll go to almost every worship night that Brisbane has to offer, recently I’ve been eating a lot more kiwis thanks for the advice @shaniafeki, and all I really want is for my life to reflect the two most important Commandments: Love God, and love His people.

Ayden had a strong visual leaning for the dreamy, magical, whimsy, nature-filled, earth in all its glory things of this world, and so we incorporated that into our shoot. shot in one go, on my lil G7X, R5 + 35mm film; in the last few hours of the afternoon 🥲

@maddie.howe__ and @sweenmoon did such a stunning job of taking these visual assets and bringing them into a beautiful campaign, showcasing the songs in all of their glory. an honour to be part ✨

In honour of me being in Sydney this weekend scribing my second @zion__church conference, I’m finally sharing some work from 2025!! What a glorious time this was 🫧

Zion has such a special place in my heart. From attending conference in 2024 (where I received blueprints from the Lord about my biz), to embarking on a special scribing + creative direction campaign for their conference in 2025, and instantly feeling part of the family. They have become kindred and it’s been a massive joy to be part of this special community over the last year or so!!

Also got to teach @georgiapearson__ how to scribe and it was the most fun EVER!! She has absolutely taken everything that we’ve shared and run with it, so whenever you look at their socials (apart from this weekend where I’m taking over haha), know that they’re in her very capable hands 🌬️

So much of my personal and business life are deeply intertwined. I can’t scribe, do spirit-led socials, without being so deeply connected to God, to my friends, my community, my church. Life is so much more then building a business, even if Instagram tries to tell us otherwise, and I see so many people trying to chase fame, fortune, and a life that they don’t understand isn’t worth chasing. And before you know it, they crash and burn (me 3 years ago lol 🤪). But the key to life is doing it with Jesus at the center. And doing it with family 🫶🏻

Someone asked me what my dream client would be the other day — they referenced a well-known church I adore, a few Christian celebrities, some other projects/brands. But I couldn’t think of a single dream client because I’m already living my dream. I look at this video of sweet memories and I think man, this is it. This is what God wants me to capture and it’s right here in lil ol Brisbane and other parts of Australia (until He tell me otherwise!)

So here’s my lil 2025 recap - videos of my little life, interspersed with fun business trips and other delightful adventures. My new years resolution is to carve out more time to share more about the heart of scribing, biz life, and what God is doing in the glorious region of south-east Queensland. But also to remain faithful to the simple life, to what’s around me, and to not chase anything other than what the Father has asked me to do.

This time a year ago I was overseas with the beautiful @davids_tent crew, getting to scribe what He’s doing in a big tent, in a little pocket of England. I’m making this post on a plane to Tasmania right now, but I have tears welling up in my eyes as I’m remembering what God did in my heart, in His people, one whole year ago.

That’s one of the reasons we scribe and document what God is doing here on this earth. Because there are these testimonies of what God is doing in visual form, that get to live on forever, from scribing these moments. They invoke remembrance, and it is good to remember what the Lord did. It is good to remember how He moves, and speaks, and how the songs we sing to Him matter. It is good to witness to the fact that He is real and alive. I wanna remember all these moments when I’m old and gray, and say to my grandkids ’back in my day, there was this one moment where I felt like the Father was giving me a big ol hug (slide 9 for reference) and this is what was being sung. Can you feel it? Can you see Him? I remember what it was like in that room. Maybe from seeing this, you can experience what I felt, too.’

Not every moment that we scribe needs to be shared, some are just offerings of obedience to God (more on that at a later point), but these were some of the truly beautiful offerings of praise to Jesus that I felt led to capture.

DT rules, love y’all + praying over you guys for this upcoming weekend (sad I can’t be there in person!!). God is worthy of this. And it is good to remember that He is well and truly alive!🫀
