- I miss home 🤷🏿‍♀️ I’m not the type to get home sick but I miss the routine of going home and winding down in my own space; cooking, cleaning, sleeping in my own house, in my own bed. — Nobody telling me I can’t do something bc it’s MY own house.
- I miss being in a place where my family was just a drive away. I’m missing out on watching my neices and nephews grow up in real time. One of my nephews has already started standing on his own and the other is starting to talk 🥺
- Not having a 9-5 is just as hard or even harder than being your own boss. I spend my days working and staying up until 3 AM to make things work out for me. Being in charge of your own destiny and success is not easy especially when you don’t have much support.
- I miss raising my nanny son. It was my first and only job I had before I graduated college and we spent almost everyday together for almost 4 years straight. It’s bitter sweet knowing he has to grow up without my being so present in his life. I miss him like crazy and it was the most rewarding job I’ve ever had the pleasure of having.
- Your environment will truly make or break you. I have stayed in so many different places and although change is good and making new friends is a blessing, you are truly nothing without your peace of mind and time to yourself.
- There are so many people in the world who still hate black people. It’s disgusting to know you can come to another part or the world and people still will treat you like you’re small and invisible
- I miss the rush of coming home, going out for a walk and being out for hours just doing whatever I wanted; walks around the city, no phone, no other priorities, just a cute outfit and open schedule. by @ronipayne_

I used to think traveling full-time was something only other people got to do.

People with more money.
People with better jobs.
People who had life all figured out.

Meanwhile, I was exhausted, underpaid, and wondering if this was really what life was supposed to look like.
