I’m like super nervous to post this video where I’m speaking English, but here it is! Sorry about the grammar and stuff 😅😭

I would really really like to know where the algorithm takes me when speaking English so please drop a comment, where do you live? 🫶🏻

I’m trying to spread awareness of the reason why people living in domestic v1olence might stay, trying to break the stigma around the topics and I’m sharing my own story to show support for other domestic violence and sexual abuse survivors. I’m here with you too and remember you should not be the one carrying the shame!!! That shame belongs to the abuser.

Any thoughts 💭? If you feel comfortable sharing I would love to hear if any of these sound familiar to you, or what made you go back to your abuser.
I surely know that it’s not an easy task to get out, people try to leave the relationship approximately 7 times before it’s final. Usually there is huge trauma bond, fear and no confidence. But life after getting out can be great and it probably will 🤍

🇫🇮 Tarkoituksenamme oli viettää viimeinen päivämme St. Louisin eläintarhassa, mutta vietimmekin senkin oikeussalissa.

Annoin Chris Hayesille ( @chrishayestv ) vielä yhden haastatelun josta matkamme jatkui kohti lentokenttää. Myös paikallinen poliisi tarjosi meille kyytiä, mutta menimme yhdessä samalla autolla muutaman uhrin kanssa joihin tutustuimme oikeudenkäynnin aikana. (Kiitos ihanat te! 💛)

Kuuntelimme autossa Children of bodomia ja he esittelivät meille autosta kaupunkia. Olin toivonut pääseväni maistamaan myös mäkkärin hampurilaista, joten pysähdyimme autokaistalle. Oli hyvää, sanoisin että bic max maistuu eriltä kuin Suomessa! Sitten he heittivät meidät lentokentälle, jossa suunnistimme loungeen odottamaan lentomme lähtöä.

Aikaa oli reilusti, koska odotimme turvatarkastukseen menevän enenmän aikaa. Lentokenttä olikin pienempi kuin aluksi ajattelimme. Loungen ruokatarjonta ei ollut kummoinen, etenkin Suomen loungeen verrattuna, mutta mukava oli silti!

🇺🇸 Our plan was to spend our last day at the St. Louis Zoo, but instead, we ended up spending that day in the courtroom too.

I gave Chris Hayes one more interview, and then we continued our journey towards the airport. The local police had also offered us a ride, but we decided to travel together in the same car with a few of the other survivors we had gotten to know during the trial. (Thank you, lovely people! 💛)

We listened to Children of Bodom in the car while they showed us around the city along the way. I had also hoped to try a McDonald’s burger, so we stopped at the drive-thru. It was good! I’d say the Big Mac tastes different in the US than it does in Finland!

After that, they dropped us off at the airport, where we made our way to the lounge to wait for our flight. We had plenty of time since we had expected getting through security to take longer. It turned out the airport was smaller than we had initially thought.

The food selection in the lounge wasn’t anything special, especially compared to lounge we visited before the trip, but it was still nice to relax there before our flight!
