Halfway through the year already.

Sometimes we’re so focused on where we’re trying to get to that we forget to appreciate how far we’ve come.

When I launched Ronke Maye in April 2025, I had a vision, plenty of determination, and a lot of faith. Since then, there have been challenges, lessons, victories, and countless conversations with amazing clients who have trusted me with one of the biggest decisions of their lives.

Today, I’m simply grateful.

Grateful for every landlord, vendor, buyer, tenant, referral, and supporter who has been part of this journey.

As we move into the second half of the year, I’m reminded that success isn’t always about speed it’s about consistency, resilience, and trusting God’s timing.

The realities of running an independent estate agency…

I arrived at a viewing this morning and found one of my boards looking like this.

It’s frustrating. Boards cost money. Time costs money. And when you’re the business owner, every expense comes directly back to you.

For a moment, I could have let it consume my day. I could have spent hours trying to work out who did it, chasing CCTV footage, or focusing on the unfairness of it.

Instead, I picked up the board, put it in my car, and got on with my day.

Because that’s what running a business teaches you.

Not every day is a success story. Not every day is a completion, a new instruction, or a glowing review. Some days start with setbacks.

The important thing is not letting those setbacks define the rest of your day.

I still attended my valuations. I still carried out my viewings. I still secured two offers.

A damaged board is annoying, but it wasn’t going to be the headline of my day.

One year into building Ronke Maye, I’m learning that resilience isn’t about avoiding problems. It’s about deciding which problems deserve your energy.

Sometimes the best response is simply to pick yourself up, keep moving, and focus on what matters.
