When I was approached to conceptualize this project I must admit I was anxious & a little clueless on how to best maximize bringing the script to life ; let’s not talk about how hectic it is shooting in this our own CBD as well as shooting in a moving matatu!
I was also glad to work with amazing talented individuals who at every single stage went out of their way to enable bringing the script to life, and for that I apppreciate them!
Aggie is a photo comic book commissioned by @kala.bars @creativesgarage that touches on sexual exploration between two amazing women that commences at a matatu stage and develops into a second meet up- Don’t want to get much into details as it’s still in post production. Watch out for the final copy!
All in all, Shout out to the whole team for indeed justifying why they were the best team to work with on this!

As an artist, watching behind-the-scenes moments of how projects come together is always a full-circle moment. Getting to share some BTS of how we created this title shot with the team at @esafi_ri in Kisumu brought me right back to the joy of creating.

Shooting with @esafi_ri in Kisumu felt very personal.

As I filmed, @cleopatra_adwar shared their story how their work is helping reduce carbon footprint, empower the community, and how it led to their nomination for the Earth Shot Peace Prize. @earthshotprize

As an environmentalist, this story spoke to me. It reminded me why I do what I do using my lens to tell real stories, about real people, creating real change!

Being handpicked by @crtve_development & @earthshotprize to document one of their nominees, @esafi_ri , was an honor I dont take lightly.

As an environmentalist, I deeply resonate with Esafiri’s vision, and stepping into Kisumu and witnessing their work up close; reducing the city’s carbon footprint while empowering communities; felt like purpose aligning with craft. Through my lens, I saw real impact and hope in action!

Grateful to tell stories that matter and to document change where it’s truly happening. 🙏🏽

Visualizing an African superhero narrative for a comic series where Ole Sondeka, the time-traveling hero, battles to save creativity from the clutches of the Counter Creative Unit (CCU).
