Some conversations stay with you long after the lights go down. I met @henryutku more than 10 years ago in Istanbul. Throughout the years we hared some amazing moments and conversation together. One of those happened three weeks in London, I had the privilege of joining the EMEA @americanexpress Leadership Academy x @commonpurpose alongside so many people dedicating their lives to creating positive change.

We all agree to go in depth. So I spoke about something deeply personal to me: how a heart surgery (and more) that once felt like the biggest obstacle of my life ultimately became the beginning of a different mission.

I’ve learned that purpose evolves. Sometimes we change individually. Sometimes the work changes. Sometimes the mission becomes bigger than the reason you started.

What keeps us going isn’t simply just motivation; it’s knowing who we are and who we’re serving, even on the days when the work feels difficult.

Thank you to American Express, Common Purpose, Tina, Henry, Erick, Fillipo, Avi, Rossa, and every nonprofit leader who shared their stories and asked profound questions so openly. I left inspired by your commitment to your communities. You are an inspiration to many.

The conversations reminded me that leadership isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about creating the conditions for others to thrive.

❤️

An honor to step on stage as guest speaker for Sonova Group year’s annual conference. 🏀✨ From the court to the boardroom, the principles of teamwork, resilience, and continuous learning remain the same. Winning isn’t just a result — it’s a mindset we build together.

Thanks @anneclairecostes and Guillaume

Every time I tell someone I’m the General Manager of @sportingclubescaldes, I see the surprise on their face. A basketball player helping running a football club? I genuinely don’t get it, I try to tho lol

Maybe because I remember the little kid I was who dreamed of playing professional football and later on allowed himself to want to be helping lead a sport club.

Why?

Because I see an opportunity apply what I went through but also continue to learn what helps athletes build a life during after their playing careers. To create an environment that supports them before they face that transition alone.

And, yes, I see the speaker in me who is obsessed with sustainable team building and how every part of an organization can work better together and many more but I’ll stop there.

At the 33rd European Football Clubs @efc_football General Assembly in Copenhagen, I connected with peers and competitors, listened, and brought home ideas for Sporting. Hearing NBA Deputy Commissioner Mark Tatum speak made the connection between my two worlds feel even clearer. Basketball and football can learn from each other’s best practices and create value at every level: from the boardroom to the pitch.

People don’t have to see the vision yet. I do. And I have to keep working to make it real.

Keep going, kid. 🏀⚽️🇦🇩

« Rebond. Défense. Course. »
