POV: You’re an artist working in the operating room.

Working in the operating room is challenging yet fulfilling. Every day is unpredictable, but having an amazing team makes all the difference. You may encounter setbacks, but having a team you can truly count on changes everything—especially when you get to work with a kind surgeon like the one in my artwork.

I’ll call her Dr. P for privacy reasons. She is one of the kindest colorectal surgeons I’ve ever met. Whenever you check your schedule and see her name, you instantly tell yourself, “It’s going to be a good day.”

POV: You’re an OR nurse on vacation, but your mind is still in the theater.

This is a little watercolor piece I did called “Neuro Surgery.” I haven’t actually been trained to scrub in on neuro cases yet, but I got the chance to observe one recently and was completely fascinated!

This little pink worm is slowly coming to life... ✨I created this creature with a special hope: that whoever holds it is reminded of how unique and loved they are. Like a worm working diligently beneath the soil, you don’t need to show off. You just do your best.
