First day in Northern Cascades. Spent at Lake Diablo and the Skagit River. by @ronstoppable_81

Two kids, about to do the impossible. We didn’t know quite what lie ahead of us. 22 miles, 5000+ feet of elevation. Started at 6 AM. Ended at 830 PM. 14+ hours. We traversed through, rivers, waterfalls and forest to make our way to colchuck lake for a dip. Climbed granite boulders on our ascension of Aasgard Pass. Then descended 15 miles of rugged rock and snow. Encountering more lakes, waterfalls and mountain peaks than I could count. The last 10 miles aren’t pictured in this post. The only focus I could muster was putting one foot in front of the other. Grueling switch backs made us delirious. Our phones died and so we had no map and no way to know how far to go. So we put one foot in front of the other. By the glory of God. We made it. My legs had nothing left. It wasn’t I who lifted them. Thank you Jesus for guiding my feet through the Enchantments Traverse. The single hardest and most beautiful experience of my life. #pnw #enchantmentstraverse #jesuslovesyou❤️ taken in The Enchantments by @ronstoppable_81
