Meet the band! Next of Kin | Pt. 1, Liam! 🎸✨

Liam Davey is a guitarist/musician from Calgary AB. He started learning guitar at 10 and joined his first band at 16. He has played in several groups since then, ranging from emo punk to hip hop. Along the way, he has also produced songs for some fellow musicians in the form of beats. He now plays for acts such as SHADES, Saint Heston and finally Next of Kin.

did a lil day trip to Banff for the market, and the sun came out just in time. our biggest demographic by far was the 2-8 year olds tbh but it was so much fun! even got @e.n.imusic up for some freestyling. Were bringing the full band back for October though 👀

Hestonova, prod. @roo_beats 🎸 and filmed when @raymuise came with the band and i plus @poloshoyyc to Kelowna to capture our first out of province show. Track was barely a demo when we filmed, but @markaborde kept tempo on rocks and @masonremmermusic left my fist bump hanging... but it feels like the first video where we're starting to punch at our own weight. Check it out on the tube, or all streaming services.

april 2026.

big wood house: episode 3.

every now and then, a reel reminds us why we started this in the first place.
not because of the numbers.
not because of the algorithm.
but because there are so many talented people out there who deserve to be seen, heard, and celebrated.
getting to share even a small part of that is something we will never take for granted.

What a dreamm 🥹

Growing up, I had almost yearly field trips to Studio Bell, and I genuinely looked forward to them every single time. Music has always been such a huge part of my life, so being able to say that I played at Studio Bell/NMC with my band, Next of Kin, is such an incredible honour.

Thank you so much @mastert_official and @nmc_canada for allowing us to close out the performances last night 🤍✨

Next official show is July 17th! But you might catch me before then 👀

Until then, peace and lovee 🙂‍↕️🫶🏽
