Surely at some point I thought about how I would be in the middle of a drive across the country back to Seattle..

Princeton was a bigger journey than any caption could ever accommodate. Thank you to the many people that have been a part of this chapter with me; I will treasure our time shared in New Jersey and carry with me countless lessons as Ronnie and I turn a new page.

Many bikes were had, towpaths ridden, laughs shared, and memories made. Here’s to many more! taken in New Jersey by @rooftopandy

It’s been a year of growth.

I finally felt frustrated enough to put up fliers about something and the friends I’ve made as a result I’ll gladly keep for as long as they’ll have me. I’ve ridden many miles and many bikes in the last year. I’ve crashed a couple but that’s part of the fun. The family grew too! I got to meet my newest nephew Liam and my newest niece Maggie. They both got to meet their great grandparents which is a memory I’m sure they will both cherish (maybe maybe not we are waiting to hear how they describe the ordeal).

It might seem like all I did was ride bikes but there were many activities in between bike rides that just happened to be facilitated by bikes. I honestly couldn’t even begin to summarize this year in a post. I’m just grateful for those of you that choose to have me in your life and those that have helped me get here today — mostly in one piece.

In a couple weeks Alex and I will take the Seattle to Portland ride on again and I anticipate this time will be Type I fun. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ maybe I’ll post a pic from it next year if I don’t have too many other bike pictures to share.

Even if we haven’t talked in a while, please let’s catch up! I’d love to hear from you and I hope you’ve been well. Picture from the first critical mass in Princeton. I didn’t know how many people would show up so when 40 people were there and it wasn’t time to leave yet I was pretty surprised taken in New Jersey by @rooftopandy

The best year so far.

Ronnie and I got married on October 21 in Central Park. Party with friends and family to come (don’t ask dates yet, it’s far out)

We also moved back East to Princeton, New Jersey for Ron’s phd. Seattle will always have a piece of my heart but a change of scenery has helped me grow.

Had to fly back to Seattle to rescue my van but the trip was a great success. Took 10 days to drive XC but I loved every minute of it. Brought Theia along for the drive and what she lacks in navigational abilities she makes up for in inability to stop barking at the sheriff writing me the only speeding ticket ever written for a kei van in the US.

Saw @georgerussell63 get pole in my first in person race 😍 so that alone made the Montreal trip a raging success although the poutine was a close second. George finishing third is the third best part about the weekend.

I do a small variety of other boring things to stay busy, feel free to reach out so we can catch up.

I’d be remiss to not also conclude by saying the Seattle-to-Portland ride was TYPE III FUN. Strava indicates it took ~1 month to be able to walk around the neighborhood after finishing. 8/10 don’t recommend by @rooftopandy

What a tremendous past year.

Ronnie and I got a dog. Her name is Theia and I love her even though I am her third favorite person.

I learned to properly ski. Lost my phone on the backside and dug it out a few days later.

Alex and I biked a shit ton in 2023 so far and we’re going to bike to Portland in a day on July 15. Maybe I’ll post a pic from that ride next year.

I hope you have all been well; reach out to me if you want to catch up.

what a busy year

i lasted 10 weeks at my first job. i work at auth0 now and it is much better. Ronnie and I got a place together in uptown so if youre ever at the space needle you can see us sipping mules on the roof if you look a few blocks west. Alex also moved here so you know its a party.

i don’t know what i want to use instead of this app but while im searching you can check the link in my bio for curations from my camera roll

if we havent spoken in a while you should consider reaching out (if you have the time and energy); i would love to catch up! taken in Fremont Center of the Universe by @rooftopandy

I graduated college this spring. Thought it was about time to get a job and move to Seattle.

I have now moved most of my assets to the latte market.

Thanks you to everyone that helped me get here, you’ll always have a place to stay at Waverly. taken in Seattle, Washington by @rooftopandy

I hear Austin is pretty weird; you’ll blend right in.

Maybe the princes of Payne will be in the same city again someday but until then ✌️ thanks for everything @ag.haight taken in Austin, Texas by @rooftopandy
