Artists and artisans are being erased in the name of political neutrality but is it neutrality or selectivity? I was erased from a candle for being "Pro Palestine" whilst Lalique continue to sell the work of a Zionist artist. Here is the original #lalique candle imagery with my name on the top of the box and featured in the description. I saw this in January when the candle was launched online - Guy Oliver then informed me this was a mistake and the imagery and wording was updated. I have since been contacted by people who purchased or were gifted the candle @sothebys event which I wasn't even invited to. This version already had my identity removed and went on sale in November without my knowledge, without a sample, without recognition, without an NDA and most of all WITHOUT TRUTH. ​ERASED FOR ADVOCATING FOR PALESTINE. 🇵🇸 ​For over two years, I poured my technical expertise, money, and time into creating the fragrance for Lalique’s Turquoise Mountain Candle—a royal charity project meant to celebrate my Jordanian heritage and support Palestinian artisans. ​My name was meant to be front and centre. I developed the formula, sourced the materials, and navigated the complex chemistry to make this candle a reality. ​But just before the launch, Lalique completely erased my name from the packaging and marketing. No consultation. No real explanation. ​Why? Thanks to an internal email disclosed by their own legal team, I now have the truth in black and white. Lalique’s Managing Director wrote that because I am “officially campaigning for Palestine,” they had to remove me because the brand “CANNOT be politically involved in our products.” ​The Hypocrisy: Lalique claims "political neutrality" to silence a Palestine advocate, yet they proudly promote their named collaboration with an architect who publicly describes her practice as a Zionist mission for the Israeli state. ​Political neutrality? I have an important story to tell you all about a candle I designed for @lalique in collaboration with guyoliver_ for a new room at the @TheConnaught hotel to raise money for @turquoisemountain @turquoisemountainarabiaone01 @turquoisemountainpalestine a charity that amongst other things supports Palestinian refugees. A story of how my name was dropped from the product when the manager of Lalique found out I was advocating for Palestine. They lied. They denied. 2026.04.08 ROOK應該算是我會想收全系列的香水， 今天要來談 @rookperfumes -隱森Forest 這支香水的松樹、柏樹， 我覺得初聞有點以精油的方式呈現， 不過很快的黑胡椒的味道就炸出來， 混合著綠葉香氣， 是我認為非常好聞的綠意調香水， 綠葉不會過度還原到撚碎樹葉的程度， 打趴前面所說的精油感， 有點像在高山上吸取芬多精的感受(?) 除了身處高山，也同時有土壤感， 廣藿香的泥土氣息大概10分鐘內就會出來， 土壤與綠意交織，再搭配黑胡椒提亮， 讓整支既綠意，也不會顯得陰鬱～ 大概半小時後，土壤感更加明顯， 整體從剛才的明亮轉為高山中帶有潮濕味的感受， 泥土與木頭交纏， 完整呈現巨木紮根穩重渾厚的氣味。 Rook家我就是腦粉… 前調 I 松樹、柏樹 中調 I 黑胡椒、乳香、綠葉 後調 I 廣藿香、雪松、白麝香 #parfums #香の覺醒 #fragrance #香水 #rookperfumes by @rookperfumes
