That’s a wrap on 'The Orbital Decay of Saturn' at @denver.theatre.ensemble 🪐🎹⌛

Seeing this play fully realized was one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. I originally wrote it in Brandon Bruce’s class, never knowing where it might go, and now I’ve had the privilege of watching an incredible group of artists make it their own. I was completely floored by the every element of the performance I saw! (totally worth flying in and out the same day 😉)

I’m so grateful to @denver.theatre.ensemble for believing in this play and supporting me as a playwright. They’re doing incredibly exciting theatre work like no one else, and I’m so lucky to have been a part of it. PLEASE check them out!

And an enormous thank you to my mentor and friend, Brandon Bruce. From getting me to write this play in the first place to advocating for it to be produced, to directing it, his support means more than I can put into words.

To the extraordinary team who brought 'The Orbital Decay of Saturn' to life:

EMILY: Evie Becker @evie.b3cker
WILLA: Sofie Henry @its___sofie
MARK: Seth Lindsey @sethgglindsey
DAD (voice): Mark Rubald

Director/Sound Designer: Brandon Bruce
Scenic/Lighting Design: Erin Kubat @erinkubat8
Costume Design: Sofie Henry @its___sofie
Stage Manager: Danielle Brief-Mcgurrin _danielle_joy_
Photos: RDGPhotography @rdgphoto_colorado

Thank you for giving this play life beyond the page. Your talent, artistry, and dedication blew me away and I hope to work with you again ❤️ by @rookreilley

'Am I a Good Dog?' at @cfakayenta was an absolutely astonishing experience. Thank you to everyone who came; your feedback has been invaluable to this play.

I’m endlessly grateful to the spectacular creative team who helped bring this show together: the greatest director in the world, @thespomancer; my ride-or-die stage manager, @sydney.benson.burns; and our incredible tech/backstage team, @walkertruesdell, @tikvahmariee, and @springer.becca.

And to the most engaged, thoughtful, and fearless cast: you shaped this piece into something beautiful and honest. I can’t wait to see where the show goes next, and I hope I get to work with all of you again.

Huge thanks to @alanholbenphotography for these incredible photos. I’d post every single one if Instagram let me.

If you enjoyed 'Am I a Good Dog?', don’t miss the rest of the Kayenta New Play Lab readings. It's not often that you get a chance to be part of creating new theatre like this! by @rookreilley
