I have made it a habit
To keep my hands together when I sit
My eyes sees handcuffs when I look down
There is a mark on wrist where your hairtie used to be

I am an ant in the circle of your grief
Mathematically it made perfect sense
If you didn't like the things I don't
You should not like me either

I am a fan of the ordinary
I have never tried to find a divine purpose for being born
To breathe is a coincidence
To be, is a genetic lottery

In my ordinary life as a prisoner of my remains
I wonder if the one in the cell is still the Rooope you left
In liberty I never tried to find a purpose for existence
In shackles I've found religion
My purpose is to look at you,
Something wove worship into your face
And I am yet to fall so far as to miss church

In a realm of freedom convience is a currency
I have learned to live with inconvenience
No inconvenience you caused was ever greater than the one that was caused by your leaving

This is a cell of imagination
Of an ordinary man
Looking at the ordinary earrings you forgot on my bedside table
I don't know how to recollect who I was when I was still free
I don't know how to throw away the hair tie by @rooopecore

What I love about this city
Is that it’s so big we will never accidentally meet
And grief will be bound to a street that I can choose to not enter

Is that it makes everything so personal
All heartache seems like cosmic injustice

And every second you’ve made me wait at the door is not a micro-calamity

What I love about the saying “Love is a plague”
Is that it rings true
All affection is an infection to my idea of a ‘self’

You are everything.
What I mean when I say you are everything
Is that my world is limited to the space between our chairs
I can't see any further than you can walk
So I guess what I'm saying is
As you keep coming closer my world gets smaller

In this story my existence is proof that someone wanted you to be necessary
I am a scribbled detail added to a room that you notice, that exists just to be noticed by you
Any existence that is not an existence at all till you walk in

I don't say "Stay" as much I want to
I apologise more than I should
I apologise less than enough
I do not know what words should precede my hand touching yours

In this story, you are everything
It's not that nothing else means as much
It's that nothing else means anything at all by @rooopecore

मैं दिसम्बर का सवेरा
तू पहचान है मेरी, जन्म है मेरा
एक दर्द ही गिरा मेरे हिस्से में बस
तू बोले तोह जा यह दर्द भी तेरा

तू आग है, मैं जी जलाता हूँ
तू झूट है, मैं दिल बहलाता हूँ
तू बहुत ज़्यादा है, मैं काम बताता हूँ
तू पानी है, मैं डूब जाता हूँ

तू नक्शा है, मैं पढ़ नहीं पाता
तू ख्वाब है, मैं सो नहीं पाता
तू ज़िन्दगी है, मैं जी नहीं पाता
तू मोथ है, मैं मर नहीं पाता

तू मेरी हर हद के पार है
मैं रेगिस्तान, तू बाहार है
तेरे हिस्से में मोहब्बत लिखी है किसी ने

इतिहास हमेशा यह दस्तूर निभाता है
तबाह और तबाही एक जोड़ी में बनाता है

बात करने को लोग बहुत है
Rooope तुझसे ख़ामोशी बाटने आता है

मुद्दतो से कोई शिकायत नहीं आई मेरी
अब तू सब दर्द किसको बताता है?

उम्र बढ़ती है रिश्तो की भी
आज ख्याल हूँ कल याद बन जाऊंगा

परछाई ही था तेरे पहले भी में
तेरे बाद कैसे नूर बन जाऊंगा?

तुझसे हादसे एक बार ही होते है, जान
तू अमृता तोह नहीं की फिर मिल जाऊंगा

माउथ का एहसान कर जाता तोह ठीक था
अब में दूर होक भी ज़िंदा बच जाऊंगा?

नुमाइश भी नहीं होती इस गम की मुझसे
कोई खरीदे तोह बाजार बन जाऊंगा

लिखा भी न जायेगा रंजिश का सबब
इतना काबिल नहीं की फ़राज़ बन जाऊंगा

यह चाहतें पीछा नहीं छोड़ती
तू रास्ता बने में तोह में घर बन जाऊंगा

यह तेरी ख़ामोशी बाँध रखती है मुझे
तू झूट बोल दे तोह रिहा हो जाऊंगा

नज़्मों में खाबो से मुख्तलिफ नहीं तू
पर हकीकत को मैं थोड़ी भूल जाऊंगा?

यह शायरी के मुखौटों से भी डर लगता है अब

अब किसके हिस्से की शान है तू?
मैं तोह इतना पुकारता हूँ तुझे
