I've thought about what we wanted to write a hundred times over, yet my mind and thoughts remain blank.

On May 2nd, our beautiful and strong Denise passed away.

We have allowed a period of mourning and privacy to my brother and my niece and nephews, as well as her siblings and my mom and her mom as we gather ourselves.

We are broken but united, and I appreciate my brothers, and Denise's siblings Brian and Marissa privacy in advance, please reach out to myself or John with any questions. Services are being planned and I will share as soon as I have more information.

A year ago, while walking Milo; we came across this tiny creature. He ran straight for us and wouldn't leave our side. We brought him home and found out he had no tag, no chip, and no "lost dog" posters for him. After a week, we took him to the vet and found he had worms and a bacterial infection that inflated his stomach.

He adopted us that night and from day 1 built a strong bond with Milo. They are inseparable and he completed our family.

This is Bobby, our lil potato. ♥️

Welcome Home.

We are beyond proud and excited to share we have officially closed and collected keys on our home today, 8.23.23. Back in February, after seeing countless houses; our realtor and life-long friend @deecorr4 showed us a new community and we absolutely fell in love and immediately got the "this is it" feeling, a feeling we hadn't felt with any of the prior homes. We built from the ground up and are finally ready to open our home to our family, friends, and loved ones. We can't wait to share our roof and make memories. 🏡

“I will sleep no more but arise, You oceans that have been calm within me! how I feel you, fathomless, stirring, preparing unprecedented waves and storms" (Whitman).

I have long dreamt of this moment. In 2022 I received my Bachelor's from ASU, an accomplishment I had long thought was unreachable. I always carried self doubt and insecurities of my own knowledge and intelligence. It held me back for many years.

Here I am. Masters of Science Human Resources from one of the top schools in the country, Suma Cum Laude Honors, and a drive that I've never felt before.

Wouldn't be here with the support from my amazing husband, @ulay_lay and my family. I wouldn't be here without the mentorship from @scdriscoll @villa_tribe @tkooooooo I wouldn't be here for the push and determination that @carrahtrimble and @eriqmandukar gave me. Thank you! Thank you to my friends at work who daily put up with me venting and talking about papers due and for cheering me on every step of the way, to my former employees who til this day call me Boss and look to me as a mentor and reference. (You all know who you are.)

Once again, Si Se Pudo because I believed, I tried, and I accomplished.

I will sleep no more on my abilities and determination, and here I am to make waves and cause storms. Here's to the next chapter.

One of the greatest things I've learned is to leave the doubt behind and believe in yourself. Never did I think I'd be here, but now I know I deserve this opportunity and challenge.
