Rooted and grounded by the river. There’s always joy to be found. Stress that washes away. And gratitude that abides tenfold, despite the ebbs and flow. 🫶🏾 #river #sunshine #joyinabundance 🎵 ever need by @pressurebusspipe 💎 by @root7ed

I want to mention that I’m only speaking to the situations where the woman decides to leave. There are men that abandon their families as well. I think it all boils down to a lack of support in general. Community is needed more. #dv #dvawareness #singlemom #blackfamilies #foodforthought by @root7ed

I’ve been disappearing into the woods and just fulljoying nature for years in this same wrap skirt. My creations may take time but they also withstand the test of it 🫶🏾 through multiple pregnancies, my belly growing and shrinking & my hips widening as I age. It still fits and I still love to rock it. I still receive compliments and I have yet to grow bored of it. I created this timeless garment, one that can even be layered through the seasons. And this is the sum of authenticity. ✨ #handmade #slowfashion #smallbusiness #oneofonecreations by @root7ed

I found the magic within writing love letters to self and placing a smile on my own face. I found the magic within positive self talk. I found the magic within loving me loudly and proudly. Wholeheartedly for being authentically me. In thought and within action. I love every mother loving layer of me ✨ #selflove #journaling #7 by @root7ed

We popped out to give thanks and reverence to the mighty #malcomx yesterday. Nice to see #ajmcqueen and connect w/ so many other familiar faces. I thought I was recording the yute drumming and dancing, guess I just had my phone pointed at them 😂 but that was truly my favorite part. The day was a joy and a comfort same way 🫶🏾 taken in Malcolm X Festival West End Park by @root7ed
