Hyper independence is not a flex. It’s something my inner child still wrestles with. I woke up abruptly last week in a panic that I could not buy a house financially on my own. I don’t need to; there is no reason to, I own one with my spouse, which I am incredibly grateful for, but little Lena was still in a mess over this because she couldn’t trust anyone. Little Lena is safe, but she still needs to be reminded from time to time.🫶🫂❤️

I loved this practice. I’ll definitely return to this layering technique.💖💜💚

It’s a glittery kinda vibe on this rainy day.✨✨✨ Prioritizing which @shimmerdropspaint paints to use when picking colors for this piece has been so fun. Just wait until you see the pops of gold added!🤩🥰✨✨✨

Soooo about that quilt.😅 I took the kids to the pool today and was eying all those Bogg bags.😍 But this girl doesn’t have money for that (do you have one? Is it worth saving for though?). What I do have is a surplus of supplies in my closet. Laminated fabric tote coming up! Preferably before the end of pool season.😂💖 #beachtote #memade #rootandblossom by @root_and_blossom

39 squares down, 467 to go for a king quilt…😂🙃 Odds of this project getting done this year are super comical coming off the crib quilt that took me 14 years. Graciously accepting worn-out jeans donations.🫶💖

She’s finished and so so cute! DM me if interested. She’ll eventually make it to my Etsy.🥹❤️ Fabrics sourced in Tokyo with kiddos in strollers or strapped to me. Sewn in both the US and Japan, this project has made every trip across the Pacific that I have! Our time together had come to an end and cannot wait for her to make someone else happy.🍎🍏📚 #rootandblossom #japanesefabric #quiltlove by @root_and_blossom

I started this sweet lap quilt (crib quilt) years ago when teaching was still a part of my life.🥹 About time to finish it! It will be available for purchase in my stories soon!🍎🍏📚 #sewingproject #rootandblossom by @root_and_blossom

Pulled out the serger for the first time since @yoga_n_yarn and I were sewing dresses! Cropped my UV button up (in my own fabric design!!!😍) to be more comfortable for the bike!💖💖💖 #rootandblossom #sewingprojects by @root_and_blossom
