Update: Fundraiser Postponed.
🤎In times like these, with so much devastating news around us, it’s easy to feel helpless. While my own situation is unique as I’m not far from welcoming a tiny human..this is one small but meaningful way RootedThrift can continue to show up for our Pasadena community. 🌹

I’m incredibly proud of how our people are showing up for one another. It’s bittersweet, given everything happening around us, but moments like these remind us that together, we are stronger.

RootedThrift was born from my mother’s resourcefulness ..yard sales, swap meets, and the Sunday mornings I looked forward to as a child. It was her way of saving money and providing for us as an immigrant mother navigating life in a new country. Yard sale hunting brought her joy, she could buy multiple items at once and, in those moments, she was a little girl all over again.

My mom passed away without ever seeing her family again. She had dreams of her own, dreams she never had the chance to fulfill in this lifetime. Before she left, she invested in my business and was proud to see me pursue a vision that was deeply rooted in the bond we shared.

There was never an easy way to do things the right way. Like so many immigrant parents, my mom sacrificed her own dreams for the sake of ours. Now, I carry her dream forward..fulfilling it not just for myself, but for her.🤎

Thank you @tobarinoo for assisting me with this flyer.🧡 taken in Pasadena, California by @rootedthrift_llc

Jam ’n Glam Barbie was everything to me growing up 😭💖. I got her as a Christmas gift and cherished every second I had her only to come home from school one day and find my little sister had lovingly… and tragically… drawn all over her with marker 😩. My parents couldn’t afford to replace her and she was sold out either way , so I had to let her go and move on. But little me never forgot her 🥹✨… until now, hehe.
