Today as an herb student, I am feeling dehydrated & have started bleeding. So I am juicing some fruits & steeping some herbs that I believe will aid to support my hydration as well as supporting my menstruating body 🌹

I juiced some pineapples, oranges, & grapefruits 🍍✨🍊 and made a little tea blend of rose, yarrow, and marshmallow root 🫚💫🥀
I combined the liquids, and poured over ice.

-I think in the winter time this may be lovely served warm, with some added ginger and/or cinnamon!

💖 this is just what I feel works for my body today, and I enjoy experimenting as I am in my herbal studies. I am not here to give advice, just sharing my journey (and am always open to feedback!!) 🌟 by @rootedwithmaya

Some pictures of my Winter thus far ❄️

Winter is typically the hardest season for myself, and many others.

I have been trying to deeply immerse myself in relaxation, slowing down, learning, teaching, serving, creating and absorbing with all that these days have to offer. Many new interests are being explored, all while watering the previous ones. It’s beautiful sometimes, and overwhelming other times.

It’s not always easy starting new things, especially in the middle of winter. But the sun will be shining again soon, and all of the seeds we have planted will begin to sprout 🌱

Enjoying some time away from the working world, eating and exploring my way through Japan!

I love more than anything being able to work in a world where I get to help people. These little get always ensure that I am re-nourished so that I can provide the most efficient services for all of my lovely clients.

Creating more flowing movements these days, encouraging my students to be less rigid and more intuitive.

This type of movement just feels so good as the weather starts to warm 🌞

The most beautiful and one of the most important things about this practice truly is just being with your body.
Moving through these shapes like you’re moving through a dance. With an intuitive attitude and with intention.

Of course, constantly checking in with yourself…

“What feels good?”
“What feels safe?”
“What feels like I am supporting myself through the goal set for today’s asana?”

Every day is different, no two movements are the same. Take care of yourself in the body you are living in today. Allow your movement to harness your creativity 🌸
