I plan on drawing AORTA more so I created a reference sheet of her in different views. I learned that character turnarounds are what animators use for animation, and I tried my hand at creating one! There are actually 8 frames in the reel version but I only need 5 of them for illustration purposes.

Tuxedo Mask but a kitty version! 🐱 🎭

This was made for an art trade with my dear friend, @idothefelting and the kitty you see here is of her late cat, Indra.

Inspired by her love for Sailor Moon and her love for her cat, I created this piece for our art collab in honour of Indra and as a thank you to Jaclyn for being a great friend. ❤️

This sculpture is made from needle felting and also contains hand sewn bead, thread embroidery and sewn on fabrics. The gold rose frame was purchased second-hand. I love how whimsical and magical this piece turned out. Really enjoyed creating a mixed media piece—will definitely do it again! 💃🏽

@idothefelting also made me something and it looks absolutely AWESOME. She made AORTA and you neeeed to check it out 😤🙂‍↕️

I needle felted Sussie! He’s the magpie bird from Kpop Demon Hunters. I used painted cabochons for the eyes. His beak and legs are made from black polymer clay and everything else is made from 100% wool! 🐑

This was my first time combining clay and cabochons with needle felting and I’m really impressed with how much it levelled up my sculpture skills 😲. There was a bit of a learning curve with both of the new mediums but I enjoyed the process and now my brain is muscular 💪🏽 🧠💪🏽.

Since I’m currently rebranding, I realized I’ve used the same coloured handles for the past 2 years and it’s time for a change! These new handles match perfectly with my pink obsession. 🤭

Meet Pinelope, she’s a needle felted cloudy wool ball that will become my new pin cushion! 🪡🧵

You’ll be seeing her lurking in the background of future videos with a whole bunch of pins in her 📍 💭 She’s not 100% complete because I need to attach her to a base so she has some weight to her, stay tuned for an update (eventually).

Here’s the humanoid version of the Kitty plushie I posted a few days ago! When I was a kid, I used to collect Webkinz plushies and I would spend time doodling humanoid versions of them in my sketchbook. For me, I found it very exciting to imagine how my toys would look as humans. Almost like drawing out my imaginary friends. 🖍️

So I imagined my niece’s plushie to be a young girl just like her with a mischievous smile and sass. 😏 She has a glowing—possibly ✨magical✨—bell and dupatta to match her pink lengha with magenta cat features to remind you that she’s supposed to be a cat girl. 🐱👧🏽 I had a BLAST designing her but I’ll let my niece give her a backstory of her choosing—it’s her new friend after all! 😊

I spent the last 7 months redoing my WHOLE website and now it’s finally live! 💃🏽 Originally, I had a simple portfolio site that was illustration focused, but the overall aesthetic of the site sucked. It didn’t fit my branding and quite frankly—it looked like ass. 😩

The new site is more cartoony and very Roothie doodles-esque! It’s no longer illustration focused but geared more towards my needle felting and fun cartoony doodles. Eventually, I will be bringing back some of my illustrations but the pages I’ve created now are only the beginning. 🤭

The whole process of building this site was a wild ride because I had to learn how to use a new site-building platform. Luckily the pain was worth it. I gained more design control with the layout of every page. 💪🏽 😎 💪🏽 🎨
