Found this beautiful rose waiting for me after my walk🌹🩷 by @rootsinthemaking

Every friend group has the engaged one 💍 and the one who replies with compost hands 🥔 Yep, I'm the compost one, priorities I guess 🤪

Congratulations to my best friend 💞☺️🎉 by @rootsinthemaking

I spotted a seven-spot ladybird yesterday evening. In Catholicism (I know, I know, here she comes with religion 😂), it is such a special insect. It reminds me of the farmers in medieval times who asked for the Virgin Mary's intercession during an invasion of pests on their crops - in fact, in Germany it's called Marienkäfer which quite literally translates to Mary's bettle and the seven spots represent Mary's seven sorrows. It's an incredibly touching story. It reminds us that through the intercession of Mary the Lord will use the smallest of instruments to get you through the biggest of challenges in life. ✨🐞

Have a blessed day friends, I will be resting because my vertigo is absolutely horrendous today! 😭🙏

Mum's peace lily has seen better days, but after some research, you just need to cut back the brown bit... I know for a fact my mum will notice this, she loves this plant and she's had it for years 😩🙌

I tried my very best cutting it into a leaf shape... let's just say some are looking more leafy than others.. 😬🙂

#hopeful

New leaf! Apparently they grow new leaves quite quickly ☺️

Still, most of the plant does look incredibly healthy! 🙏💚🥰

💚

P.S at the bottom you can see a wonky leaf I cut 😎🙌

From a little pit to this huge leaf! 😍 Growing an avocado tree is a slow burn but so worth it ☺️🫶

I don’t think we’ll ever run out of green onions again. We also have more outside ☺️🙏

Gardening isn’t always sunshine and perfect harvests 😭😭 I think it's bacterial speck 🤔 so I’m harvesting almost all of our remaining green tomatoes today to save them 🥲🙏🍅

I must admit their size is great! 🍅 #homegrown

They'll be stored with a banana because I know it works, someone on here kindly told me it's to do with the gas banana emits so fingers crossed they will all ripen nicely ☺️

Leaving this one behind because the branch looks healthy 🍅🍅🍅 #homegrown by @rootsinthemaking

Tidying up the containers for next year and stumbled across this beetroot! It's hard as a rock, so I don't think it's one for the dinner table, but I honestly can’t wait to plant loads more next season 😍 You just can't beat homegrown beetroot! 😋🫜

I got a bit carried away and planted a garlic clove back in August... only to find out October is actually prime garlic season! 🫡 I’ve gone ahead and transferred this big one, and tucked a few more in alongside it. Fingers crossed we get some decent-sized bulbs next year! 🌱🧄

Found another tiny strawberry 🍓☺️ #gardening #homegrown by @rootsinthemaking

Well.......b*llocks! I didn't know this was ginger and I pulled it up! My mum is going to flip lol 😭 I was trying to tidy up the containers and I pulled TWO 😭😭

Note to self: Ask Mum what’s growing before "tidying up" the garden containers. 🫣 Fingers crossed it grows back before she notices... 🤣🤣🌱
