A nossa Rope Hangout & Jam é um espaço de peer practice, onde podes atar, experimentar e aprender em conjunto com outras pessoas num ambiente casual e descontraído.

Traz as tuas dúvidas, experimenta coisas novas e troca conhecimentos com os teus pares. Os facilitadores do espaço também estarão disponíveis para ajudar, esclarecer questões e dar uma mão sempre que precisares. :)

Between the Lines | Reading & Discussion Group
A collaborative event by @ropegarden_ & Knotlounge

Between the Lines is a shared reading and discussion space focused on bottoming practices, open to bottoms, riggers, and anyone curious or interested in deepening their understanding of rope dynamics.

Education for bottoms is still often overlooked in educational spaces. Regardless of the power dynamics we explore, negotiation, body awareness, and responsibility are shared. This is a place where we will freely be able to share and grow our thoughts together.

To start off this year we will read and discuss each chapter of Somatics for Rope Bottoms by Natasha Nawataneko considered by many one of the most important books in rope practice.

Although dedicated to bottoms, the book offers essential tools for everyone working with rope or engaging in B🥓SM practices, and its reflections extend far beyond play spaces. After all, learning to breathe, listen, and respond to our bodies is something we carry into all areas of life.

The Rope Garden K!nk Munch is a free, social event open to the entire BD*M community. Its goal is to get to know each other better, exchange ideas, share a drink and meet new faces.

The event is open to everyone, regardless of background, sex*al orientation, or beliefs. The only thing required is mutual respect, friendliness, and a calm, welcoming atmosphere. We reserve the right to ask you to leave at any point if we think you have crossed any of these walls in this or previous events.

This is a space to look for what we have in common, not what sets us apart.

On 24th September, the Graça-based shibari studio Rope Garden (@ropegarden_) will host their Erotic Book Club at Well Read, exploring kink, taboo, and culture through boundary-pushing erotic fiction.

For the next book in their series, “Influences of New Narrative,” we’ll join Rope Garden and their host Amelia Furlong (@mimipix_) in reading ‘Darryl’ by Jackie Ess (@jackie_ess), out now on Divided (@dividedpublish).

Darryl follows an Oregonian man who seemingly has it all: a good job, a nice house, and a wife who loves to cuck him. At turns provocative and poignant, Darryl is a tender, gender-bending romp through the minds of middle-class America.

We’ll have copies in-store next week, when we resume normal(ish) opening hours. by @ropegarden_
