“What do you want to be when you grow up, son?”
At 15, Drew Roper told his grandad he wanted to be an artist — and got a clip round the ear for it.

Fast forward, and he’s now behind some of the UK’s most acclaimed stop-motion animation.

In tonight’s episode, Drew opens up about belief, resilience, and forging a creative path without a clear roadmap.

“I started this in my bedroom in my pants… now we’re running a full animation studio with an incredible freelance team.”
– Drew Roper, founder of @yaminations
In this week’s episode, Drew gets real about how he built something from nothing, why imposter syndrome never really goes away, and how success in the creative industries can’t just be measured by headcount.
He also weighs in on:

Whether CGI is killing stop-motion (spoiler: it’s not)
Why authenticity on screen always wins
The real role AI is starting to play in creative production — and why it’s a tool, not a threat

If you’ve ever doubted your place in a creative field or wondered how animation is evolving behind the scenes, this episode is one to check out.
Full episode live soon — keep your eyes peeled.

“We just bumped into them on the way to get pizza… turns out they designed the Harry Potter films.”

This week on B2B Business Club, Drew Roper, founder of @yaminations , shares how a chance meeting with Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima — the legendary graphic designers behind Harry Potter — turned into a long-standing friendship and a stunning creative collaboration.

From fanboying at 3am to directing a magical stop-motion/2D/CG project for MinaLima’s beautifully illustrated classics — Drew gives us a peek behind the scenes of a truly one-of-a-kind production.

Keep your eyes peeled for the full episode this week.
