Rory Hislop is a Canadian trumpet player based from Vancouver. He is active in a variety of music scenes and prioritizes playing creative and exciting music. Whether he is playing in a horn section for salsa legends like Charlie Aponte (El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico) and romantic salsa star Maelo Ruiz, playing with nationally acclaimed rock group The History of Gunpowder (@thehistoryofgunpowder) or supporting Vancouver batucada groups like @batucadabrace he finds ways to uplift artists musically and with style.
