Since reading the book and watching the new films of Dune, I wanted to go to the Wadi Rum desert and be engulfed by the magical silence of it. It really was like driving through Arrakis..

The moon was almost full, so I couldn't see the milkyway, but I did see Saturn and Jupiter up close through big telescopes.

On the last day of 2025 I danced the night away with 40 lovely people and burned everything that I am leaving behind in the fire.

Felt the need to document how blessed I am by the thrift goddess herself.. and the gratefulness I feel for calling this tiny flat my home and safe space.

I spend hours in here reading, writing, listening to jazzy music, sipping tea, stretching, meditating, watching my fave show for the 100th time... and just savoring all the pieces I thrifted and collected over the years.

Reflecties op jarenlang 'alleen' leven & the Queen of Wands tarot kaart..

Ik zie steeds meer in hoe bijzonder het is dat ik al 7,5 jaar alleen leef/single ben. Ik snap nu ook steeds beter dat het zo precies de bedoeling voor me is. Ik kan vooral het laatste jaar echt waarderen dat ik zoveel ruimte en tijd heb als vrouw & mystica om te ontwikkelen en mijn autonomie ten volste te beleven.. ik snap maar al te goed dat mijn voorouders in een heel andere positie hebben gezeten door de geschiedenis heen. Dat proef ik in de werken van Jane Austen, maar ook verder terug, in de research die ik doe naar esoterisch gedachtengoed en allerlei executies en onderdrukking van zelfbeschikking door de eeuwen heen.

Ik schouw en contempleer, ik maak eigen keuzes en krijg het voor elkaar steeds dichter bij mijn centrum te blijven. Ik dans en zing in devotie, lees en schrijf naar hartenlust en heb in mijn leven 2 ambities; om zoveel mogelijk lief te hebben en mijn wezen te doorgronden.

Alleen zijn bied mij een vorm van 'solitude' waarin ik niet afgeleid ben, maar keer op keer naar binnen kan keren. Jaren alleen heeft mij geleerd vanuit binnen te leven, en minder vanuit buiten.

The Queen of Wands in de tarot symboliseert een koningin in bezit van zelfkennis. Ze heeft diep in haar binnenste gekeken en dat heeft tot transformatie van haar wezen geleid. Het verhaal vertelt dat ze eens zwart haar had en haar panter een zwart vel, en dat de transformatie haar goud haar gaf en de panter in een leeuw veranderde. Haar weten van haar vroegere toestand vervult haar met begaanheid voor ieder die zich in de complexiteit van transformatie gevangen kan voelen. Daarom draagt zij nu vrijwillig rood haar en houdt ze de leeuw nog in de gedaante van de luipaard, waarvan de zwarte vlekken getuigen van het verleden.

Ik voel ook begaanheid met alle versies van mezelf die ik doormaak om steeds dieper in de meest authentieke expressie van mijn wezen te zakken.

Ik vertrouw erop dat deze reis me precies brengt waar ik 'wezen' moet❤️‍🔥 by @rosa.de.boer

I thrift almost everything, vinted is my friend. When looking for great pieces, try and find cotton dresses and pockets. In the winter I wear them with tights, tall boots, and wool, cropped cardigans 😊
