Hello friends,
If you’ve got a few quid to spare and you fancy helping out a friend in need, I’d be so grateful if you’d consider contributing to @autumn.aurelia via Paypal. I’ve explained things very briefly in this post, there is obviously a lot more detail to the situation (she has documented everything in the first highlight of her stories) but in the interest of keeping people’s attention spans, I’ve simplified things as best I can.
I know how difficult Autumn is finding it to ask for help so I said I’d make this post on her behalf.
Once she’s been able to wade through the significant amount of admin she’s been left with, hopefully things will be clearer in terms of what support she’s able to access, but for now there’s a sudden gap in her income and she’s got unexpected rent arrears to make up. I can’t imagine how stressful this must be! If you can spare a small donation, I know it will help provide some financial breathing space - but please don’t feel pressured, I know times are tough for a lot of us and the absolute last thing she wants is for anyone to feel under pressure to donate. A few weeks ago some copies of my earrings showed up on Temu. I actually only found out because someone had spotted them in a UK shop, and reached out to me asking I was stocked there - I was not!
A reverse google image search revealed the copies being sold by a vendor on Temu, and much as I didn’t want to give them my money, I really wanted to see what they looked like up close!
Well, here they are. I can’t decide if seeing how basic they are makes me feel better or worse. I guess better because the difference in quality between handmade and mass produced is pretty clear here…but worse because the copies were being sold for £1.75 and the product listings showed they’d already sold hundreds of pairs. And when I think about how often this happens and how much STUFF is being produced daily, it stresses me out 🫠
Anyway, when I shared about this on stories, SO many small businesses replied to say this has happened to them too. And thankfully there is some positive news - Temu has an IP infringement form you can use to report copies. I did this and the listings were taken down within days! So, if this has happened to you too, please give this a go. If you need the link to the form just ask and I’ll send it to you. We shouldn’t have to, but at least it works.
I don’t really have the energy to say much more about this… It is BRUTAL being a small business at the moment, and yes, I know (SOME OF) my jewellery isn’t the most affordable, but it doesn’t mean a £1.75 copy is justifiable either.
If you have any pals who do love handmade, colourful earrings…you know where to send them! (And it’s not Temu 😜)

Well I may not have succeeded in getting Glastonbury tickets on Sunday but I did have a lovely day at @thefromeindependent - thanks so much to everyone who shopped, stopped for a browse or came to say hi! Wasn’t it also just the most perfect autumn weather?!
I’ve got lots of new things up my sleeve for autumn / winter, and some ideas for the festive season that I’m VERY excited about. Suddenly the time pressure has kicked in and I’m feeling productive! But that also means I’ve not been posting here much, so I’m just dropping in to say hi 👋
I’ll be back soon with launch dates for new designs, but in the meantime if anyone knows any jammy / unusual ways of working at Glastonbury feel free to let me know 😜❤️ by @rosapietsch

I’ve actually really been enjoying getting on with some wholesale orders since landing back in the real world after festival season. But I do have some lovely festival exclusive pieces left, and I’m thinking of uploading them to the website. Is there anything you can spot here that you’d like?

🌀 SHAMBALA CRAFTY CREW 🌀

Missing this team of dreams already, how is it already a week since the rainiest Shambala Saturday we’ve ever seen?!

After catching some kind of dust-induced chest infection(?) from the hot, dry and DUSTY as heck We Out Here festival, I didn’t quite manage to recover in time for Shambala so spent the first day or two still feeling very much not on form. Not going to lie - it was really quite challenging setting up a stall and trying to not be grumpy! I had a few moments where I just felt overwhelmed and like I wanted to be at home in a real bed. Which felt extra sad in a setting as fun and jolly as Shambala!
But by Friday afternoon, the immaculate vibes of the festival and the Crafty Fox tent had perked me right up and I had a lovely old time for the rest of the weekend. PHEW 🙌

As usual, all the traders made their stalls (and therefore the whole tent) look incredible. Everyone in that tent is full of creativity and talent, as well as being kind, supportive and most importantly everyone brought their best festival attitudes - we kept the mood up even when there was torrential rain that scuppered trade for almost all of Saturday!

The Shambala customers more than made up for it of course, and as usual we met loads of wonderful new and returning customers. Thank you so so much to everyone who came and shopped. I loved spotting you in your RP jewels out in the muddy fields!

Big massive thanks to Sinead @craftyfoxmarket for curating such a tent of dreams and for creating this opportunity for us, it’s by far one of the biggest highlights of the year. Thanks @yayraeflay for being head fox 🦊 and getting us and the tent organised!

I’ll be posting more about how it all went trading at two festivals back-to-back, but for now I’m enjoying being clean and sleeping in a real bed.

I’m at @shambalafest in the @craftyfoxmarket tent and there is quite literally zero phone reception on site 😅
I’ve just bought an hour of wifi so I can check emails, make sure the house is still standing and the cat is happy, and do a very quick post on insta! These photos have come out looking incredibly weird but they’ll just have to do - swipe to see just how many special new and one-off pieces I managed to pull out of the bag in the midst of my lurgy ridden few days between festivals 💃
Having a lovely time, surviving the rain, and just about recovered from feeling horribly ill too.

A @weoutherefest , @craftyfoxmarket and @hairyjayne appreciation post, as I make my way to Shambala for festival trading round 2!
What a brilliant festival that was! Amazing vibes all weekend, the nicest customers and such a beautiful festival site. Thank you so much to all the wonderful people who came and shopped - not only was it a super busy one, it was also just a genuinely really lovely crowd, what a dream!
BIGGEST of thanks to my pal @hairyjayne for being the best stall assistant and party pal I could ever wish for.
Unfortunately I did leave We Out Here with a rotten festival lurgy that seems to have gotten most of the people I know who were there … getting unpacked, repacked and topping up stock in 3 days, ready for Shambala has NOT been fun to do while feeling so ill 🤧 so it’s safe to say I don’t look anything near as jazzy and colourful as this photo right now 😂
I’m on the mend though, and on my way to @shambalafest to set up my stall! Open 2-7 today and then 11-7 Fri, Sat & Sun in the Crafty Fox tent.
An early night tonight and hopefully I’ll be ready for a (BIT of a) party! 🎉✨💕 by @rosapietsch
