COLOMBIA 🇨🇴

“Colombia’s beauty transcends its landscapes; it’s found in the hearts of its people. The past whispers, the present dances, and the future beckons” – Unknown

The unexpected trip that closed out my summer. Bogota, Medellin, Cartagena: walking the colorful streets, exploring the country’s landscape🏔️ and working on my salsa dancing with some amazing instructors 🫶🏾💃🏻🕺🏽.

Chicago Marathon: My Sixth Star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I questioned myself for 16 weeks if I was going to run this race. Dealing with grief of my sister passing, I struggled to find motivation to train. But I am grateful for my friends and family that made sure I showed up to race day.

I told myself to just have fun. This race will be my victory lap. A celebration of my marathon journey. But also a run in memory of my sister Mayleen 🕊️.

To the people that made this day so special, I can’t thank you enough 🙏🏾. Especially @les_runs for keeping the energy live and helping make 26.2 miles fun!

MEDAL MONDAY 🏅

Doing the thing I love 🏃🏽‍♀️

On the Island 🏝️ I love 🇵🇷

With race buddies I am grateful for 🫶🏾

These races were some of the hardest Ive ran. The very early race starts, the heat, the humidity, and hilly courses. But it makes the medals that much more special. taken in El Morro, Puerto Rico by @rosaprieta

My 2023 wrap up:

⭐️ Ran the Tokyo marathon in March. My 5th world major star and 7 marathon overall.

⭐️ JAPAN: Enjoyed my time exploring Tokyo and Kyoto.

⭐️PHILIPPINES: Felt like I was in the movie. Breathtaking views

⭐️ My annual birthday race but NYRR calls it the Mini 10k 😆.

⭐️ SPAIN: Walking around Barcelona and running through el Parque de El Retiro in Madrid. Exploring the volcanos and the cute little towns on the Canary Island of Tenerife.

⭐️ MEXICO CITY: street tacos, hot air balloon ride, the Frida Museum, and the party boat on the Xochimilco River tour.

⭐️ ISRAEL : Traveled to Israel twice this year for work. Seeing the sunrise over Telviv two weeks before the horrific attacks.

⭐️ CHILE: Being part of a bad ass TSP team that ran 300+ miles though the chilean desert from Iquique to Atacama. Truly an unforgettable experience.

…and all the other awesome moments in 2023 that I couldn’t capture in one post. by @rosaprieta

Thank you @coachmedinanyc for keeping me accountable, encouraging me to stay consistent, and always reminding me of what I am capable of doing. Goal is already set for next season 💫.

I ran this race in honor of my Aunt Abigail (Titi Biggie - @classyabi) who left this earth too soon. When the race got tough I reminded myself I was doing this for her and the rest of my family 🙏🏾.
