As I make this post, my heart feels so full reflecting on all of these wonderful people I am blessed know. The other thing that comes to mind is the Lord’s sweet faithfulness to me.

About 9 months ago, I felt like I hit a complete wall, having lost the willpower I once had to seek the Lord and choose him. I felt like I had an understanding of what it meant to follow Jesus and what I needed to do to walk in that, but I felt powerless to choose to do so.

One thing Pastor Daniel said I think very well summarizes what God has been inviting me into:
“Stop fighting, and start crying out to God.”

God has shown me that I don’t need to muster up all my willpower to seek him and give him my yes, but instead just say, “God help me to choose you .”
And though that simple prayer doesn’t seem to change my physical reality in any way, every time I utter it, he shows up for me and gives me the strength to keep on going.
And even when I fail to ask him for help and I fall, I fall into grace, and he invites me to surrender again.

Thank you Jesus that I don’t have to run this race by my own strength, but that you invite me to rely on you instead. And thank you that when I fall, your grace is there to catch me and your kindness leads me to surrender again. by @rosariodsilvaa

A year in the bible complete. When I try to think of a way to summarize God’s story revealed in the bible, I think about the way that he continues to fight for mankind though they persistently turn away from him. He raised up person after person in order to make a way for humanity to be in relationship with him, but we rejected him again and again.

But from the very beginning, he had a plan to draw us back to him.

Ezekiel‬ ‭36‬:‭26‬-‭28‬ ‭says:
“And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules. You shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers, and you shall be my people, and I will be your God.”

Even though we ourselves, our own hearts, chose to reject God, he made a way for our hearts to be changed, if we would just receive him.

The ‘Yes’ that we could not give God, Jesus came and gave him perfectly, and through his sacrifice, he made a way for us to give God our yes aswell, not through our own perfection but through the perfection of Jesus. Now by the righteousness of Jesus and the grace of God we can choose him.

John 17:3 says:
“And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.”

I love my Dansia so so much. She is compassionate, so gracious, and she always takes the time to understand people and empathize with them. Thank you Jesus for such a wonderful friend. I’d rather go blind than lose you☺️☺️ by @rosariodsilvaa

Through summer camp with the Miz a few weeks ago, the Lord invited me into a whole new depth of relationship with him. He has shown me that letting incense arise in our lives-our worship being nonstop and fellowship with God through prayer constant- is as simple as turning our hearts toward him throughout the day, remembering that he is always present with us both when we remember and when we forget.
Today I am so grateful that Jesus is always present with us, that I can yap with him in the car to and from wherever I’m going, in my head when I’m out and about, in my room at 12 am, when I’m with my friends and family. That we don’t have to talk about him in the third person cuz HES ALWAYS WITH US. I have never felt so much peace in my walk with the Lord as I have these past weeks just simply in shifting my attention to the Lords presence in my life. ‘Praying without ceasing’ not being something that we have to try super hard to ‘achieve’ but instead just a simple shifting of our attention to the Lord always- shoutout Reed🫵🏼🫵🏼 by @rosariodsilvaa
