Money lessons I learned in my 20s… mostly through trial and error.

1. A college degree doesn’t automatically equal financial freedom.
I went to college because my mom believed education would give me the financial freedom she wanted for me. And I’m grateful she pushed me to get my degree.

But in my experience, a degree alone wasn’t enough. I wish financial education had been part of that education too.

2. Credit can become a trap.
I wish I had understood earlier that just because someone gives you access to credit doesn’t mean you can afford it.

3. Financial education is KEY.
Understanding your money is just as important as earning it. Budgeting, debt, taxes, credit, saving, investing and building wealth are things I wish I’d learned much earlier.

4. Start saving and investing young.
You don’t have to wait until you’re making a lot of money. I wish I understood the power of starting early and letting time work in my favor.

5. Protect the income you’re working so hard to build.
I didn’t understand the importance of life insurance and, especially, living benefits when I was younger. I wish I had.

I’m 40 now, and I’m still learning. But one thing I know for sure:

My family taught me how to work hard. Now I’m learning how to make that hard work build wealth.

And that’s something I want to help other families understand too. 🤍

Late post, but good memories deserve a spot on the feed. 🤍 Celebrating my comadre Isabel’s 40th birthday! From dinner to dancing and laughing all night, it was a night full of love, fun, and amazing company.

75 HARD. COMPLETED. FOR THE SECOND TIME. 🔥

This time, I did it to restart my fitness journey, rebuild my discipline, and start working on the woman I want to become.

And let me tell you… it’s freaking HARD. But once you’ve done it once, you know you can do it again. You’ve already proven to yourself that you’re capable of more than you think.

This wasn’t about perfection. It was about showing up for myself, keeping promises to myself, and taking that first step toward the life I want.

75 days later, I’m proud of how far I’ve come, but I know I’m just getting started.

This is only the beginning. The goal is to keep becoming. 🔥
