Beautiful Flowers & Creative Fun in Downtown Ceres!

I love highlighting our local small businesses and the people behind them!

Leticia, owner of Hand Creations Florist in downtown Ceres, invited me in to see some of her amazing creations! From handpicked flowers and gorgeous bouquets to beautiful dried floral arrangements, her creativity is impressive! 💕

On a personal note, Leticia came to my rescue when I needed flowers at the last minute for my granddaughter's very first ballet performance. I was so appreciative of her kindness and help! 🩰💐

And there's something new blooming at Hand Creations!

Leticia is bringing fun, creative Paint & Sip experiences for adults!

🎃 November: Pumpkins & Pour

🎄 December: Christmas Wreath Workshop

Space is limited, so scan the QR code or give Leticia a call to reserve your spot!

I love seeing our downtown businesses find creative ways to bring people together while following their passion.

Four years ago, I was honored to be elected to represent District 2 in the City of Ceres. Since day one, my focus has been on addressing the real issues that impact our residents every single day, from public safety, infrastructure, and housing to local economic development and neighborhood concerns.

While complex issues aren't solved overnight, these past four years have been about listening, learning, showing up, and working together alongside our residents, community organizations, small businesses, and regional partners.

Thank you, District 2, for allowing me the opportunity to serve and hopefully allowing me to continue to serve. There is still more work ahead, and I remain committed to fighting for our community

At Monday’s City Council meeting, Chief Johnson shared that Officer Rushing will be leaving the Ceres Police Department after 10 years of service to join the Sheriff’s Department.

We thank Officer Rushing for his years of dedication to Ceres & we wish him the very best in this next chapter of his public safety career.

His departure will leave 1 officer vacancy. The department is actively recruiting additional police officers. The councils support of continued investments in equipment, technology, and training help officers work as efficiently and effectively as possible while maintaining service to our community.

We appreciate the men and women of the Ceres Police Department who show up every day to serve and protect our residents. by @rose4ceres

I’m honored to have the endorsement of John Casselberry, Stanislaus Union School Board Trustee and longtime 911 Dispatch Supervisor.

John and I first connected through his service on the school board. Over the years, our paths have continued to cross, but one thing has remained consistent: our commitment to helping students and families succeed.

We have collaborated on ideas, processes, partnerships, and ways our different roles can better serve the community. John’s years of experience in emergency communications have also given me valuable insight into how our public safety system works behind the scenes and how city leaders can better support the officers, dispatchers, and first responders serving our community.

From supporting our youth to strengthening public safety, collaboration matters.

Thank you, John, for your friendship, knowledge, and endorsement of my re-election to Ceres City Council District 2. ❤️ by @rose4ceres

At Monday’s October 12 City Council meeting, our Police Chief shared an update on the newer all-black Ceres Police Department vehicles you may now see around town.

These vehicles and the equipment they carry are a significant investment, especially during challenging financial times. But reliable, properly equipped vehicles help officers respond to calls, patrol neighborhoods, and serve our community safely and effectively.

I am proud to see this investment on the road protecting Ceres. Public safety requires thoughtful planning, responsible use of resources, and a continued commitment to the people who live, work, and raise their families here. by @rose4ceres

At Monday’s City Council meeting, Police Chief Johnson shared that Ceres Police will be increasing enforcement focused on speeding and distracted driving, in coordination with surrounding law-enforcement agencies.

This follows a concerning increase in serious and fatal traffic collisions across our area. Safety on our streets is a shared responsibility. Whether you are driving, walking, riding a bike, or crossing the street, please stay aware of your surroundings, follow traffic laws, and give one another patience and space.

A few extra seconds of caution can make a real difference. Let’s all do our part to help keep Ceres streets safe for everyone. by @rose4ceres

Public safety takes teamwork.

On July 27, I was proud to approve the renewal of Ceres Police Department’s three-year agreement with the Stanislaus Special Investigations Unit, or SIU.

Ceres works alongside agencies from Modesto, Turlock, Oakdale, Patterson, Newman, Riverbank, Waterford, Hughson, and throughout Stanislaus County. By sharing investigators, information, and resources, these agencies can better address crimes that do not stop at city boundaries.

SIU helps investigate narcotics trafficking, violent crime, street terrorism, and human trafficking. Strong regional partnerships help protect our community. by @rose4ceres

For the past four years, I’ve been dedicated to delivering real results for District 2. From serving on the committee that overhauled city food truck regulations while expanding opportunities and helping build vibrant spaces while also advocating for local entrepreneurs every day. Economic development has always been at the heart of my mission.

By making processes fair and transparent, we empower families and business owners to build their futures right here in Ceres. Because when local businesses thrive, our whole community prospers!

Let's continue building a stronger Ceres together.
