🐸🪨 UNVEILING MY FIRST COPY OF CRYSTAL FOREST GUARDIANS ORACLE 🦌🔮

Hope you're having a magickal week, everyone! 💖

I've been in a wonderful and at times unfamiliar space on this Oracle deck journey. After months of intuition-led concept creation, working with my beautiful illustrator and friend @jaanemanart, and going through the printing process, the very first deck is finally in my hands.

I was practically in tears when I opened the package from @eprintonline and saw the Crystal Forest Guardians Oracle in the flesh for the first time. It's every bit as magickal as I hoped it would be 💫

I did my first reading (see the last slide) and the Lemon Quartz Ladybug guardian was there to meet me. A powerful invitation to extend kindness to a stranger today 🐞🫂

Blessed be everyone ✨️ You may know me from my main account @gennarationga - I'm a Sydney-based witch with a passion for crystals, herb lore, divination, lunar magick and hearthcraft🌙🌿 I started on the Wiccan path three years ago after my mental health took a turn, and I was seeking inner healing and peace. More recently, I kickstarted my crystal healing studies in February. Witchcraft has ultimately helped me align with my soul path, bringing joy, abundance, clarity and healing (both inward and to loved ones in need). 🕯 FROM A PEACEFUL NIGHT TO MAGICKALLY SLOW MORNING 🍵

Hope you're having a beautiful start to the week, friends 😊 Taking a moment to share a transition from night to morning that has been peaceful and deeply healing.

From soft candle magick last night to the sounds of Practical Magic, and my daily card pull today with the gorgeous new 'Witch's Homestead' deck by @hadas.knox @giadarosegoodman, to sipping wonderful coffee and the delightful sound of grinding botanicals in my mortar and pestle... This kind of slowness truly speaks to my soul.

I hope you're able to receive plenty of soul food, whatever that looks like for you 🙏

♨️🍋 FROM STOVE TO SPELL JAR 🫙🌼

Hope you've been having a wonderful weekend, everyone! And blessed Ostara and Mabon to those who celebrate...

Simmer pots have become prevalent in my hearthcraft practice as a way of infusing my home with a particular energy on a more immediate level.

With the turn of the season, I crafted a "welcome Spring" simmer with dried rosemary for protection, lemon essential oil for cleansing, calendula for the vitality and healing of the sun, and birch for new beginnings and fertility. This beautiful combination worked so well that I felt called to actually bottle that seasonal energy - this now sits on my kitchen windowsill, working in tandem with my negativity ward (the latter is based off of an @_annabel.margaret_ recipe from her first book).

I love that what once was prepared on the stove is now a more permanent part of the spiritual hearth of my home. And now my current Book of Shadows has one more page filled 📖

If you're not feeling this new season internally right now, that's totally okay. Honour where you're currently at, and let yourself arrive in your own time.

🧙‍♀️🔮 HARRY POTTER: THE EXHIBITION - GETTING EVEN CLOSER TO THE MAGIC 🧙‍♂️🪄

I hope your weekend is flowing well for you, everyone! And that you've been able to fill your own cup 😌

Had an amazing afternoon exploring the Harry Potter exhibition currently running at Paddington Pavilion at Sydney Olympic Park. So many wonderful props and costumes, and plenty of insight into how meticulously those who were a part of the films worked to bring the magic to life ✨ Will always be connected to the wonderful Harry Potter world, having grown up with the multidimensional characters, immersive storylines and of course, getting to return to the Hogwarts castle each year. Now back to the exhibition? Absolutely loved casting a Hare patronus, brewing some of the more well-known potions, scoring goals with a quaffle and repotting a fiesty mandrake.

With the second @practicalmagicmovie set for release in about a month's time here in Australia, I've been watching the original (and still dreaming about midnight margs weeks later...).

Sharing the very wholesome experience I had a little while ago of whipping up the beautiful @witchcraftcocktail recipe from her book 'Mystical Mocktails', and then dancing around the living room with my marg to the scene we know all too well.

🧚‍♀️🧙‍♀️ KATE FORSYTH IN CONVERSATION WITH SUE WILLIAMS - MUSINGS ON TRUE SOUL NOURISHMENT 📖 ✨️

Hope you're having a brilliant weekend, everyone! After sitting down at a cafe next to Chatswood Library, savouring every bite of French toast and my iced coffee, I had the opportunity to attend a small but significant part of the Willoughby Literary Festival, where creatrix @kate_forsyth_ sat down with @suewilliamswriter to chat all about her latest novel, 'The Changeling'.

It's a truly gorgeous tale, weaving together the fascinating stories of a faery child growing up in a human world and her experience of love, laughter and sorrow, the fear and oppression driving a young Mary, Queen of Scots to approve the passing of the Anti-Witchcraft Act (setting in motion much heartbreak, death and destruction), and charms and spells steeped in herbal folklore.

As soon as Kate walked into the room, there was a palpable warmth in the air. I felt enraptured as she talked about her childhood, and how numerous events led her to become the spellbinding storyteller she is today.

Among rich topics such as the ebb and flow of our interest in fairytales, what makes a changeling, and the necessity of human storytelling (especially in today's world), what really resonated with me was the level of trust Kate puts in the reader to co-create each story she weaves, allowing it to take on another form entirely.

It was wonderful that upon meeting at the book signing table after the session, Kate remembered me from our Instagram interactions and gave me a huge hug. I was elated as she signed each of the four books I presented with a different message. Pictured here is my favourite.

Having self-published my Oracle deck and with a poetry manuscript waiting on my laptop, I feel inspired to propel these forward while also birthing new creations into the world as an author 🖊

🍵 COSY WINTER MAGICK - JUNE EDITION 🕯

I hope you've had a lovely Solstice, wonderful friends!

Still feeling wrapped in the beautiful cosy energy that continues to flow through my home after hosting a few close friends for Yule celebrations ✨️ A hearty soup and winter mocktails were shared, heartfelt gifts were exchanged, old energies were let go of and a potent magick that felt old and storied was in the air.

This overflow of gratitude has encouraged me to look back on the magickal moments that have grounded and uplifted me, as we prepare for the coldest days/nights of the winter season here in the Southern Hemisphere:

1. The crafting of my first medicinal and magickal salve, made with calendula-infused oil, beeswax and juniper essential oil 🫙🌼

2. Tea. Lots and lots of tea 🍵

3. New magickal reads! 📚

4. A beautiful afternoon spent at the Petersham witches market as a vendor and speaker 🎤

5. Learning mocktail making from the best 👌

6. Lots of Percy cuddles 🐈

✨️ THE WITCHES MARKET - A REFLECTION 🧙‍♀️

Hope you're having a brilliant weekend, lovely friends!

What a day I had yesterday at my first time at @thewitchesmarketsau at Petersham Town Hall - a beautiful venue with an old-world charm.

Walking inside, the combined energy of all the wonderful witchy creators, crafters and weavers of the sacred was palpable. The wonderful trio @badluvevents - you put together a truly memorable event and to be immersed in a space where our amazing community was celebrated was incredible 💖

Upstairs at the Speakers Lounge was gorgeous conference room with leather chairs and bespoke decor. I felt right at home and the confidence flowed during my session on building an altar-led pendulum practice. Loved the thoughtful questions at the end as well! A huge thank you to all my attendees who gave your time and energy as I held this sacred space for learning - I truly appreciate each and every one of you 🙏

Erika @manonslair thank you so much for offering the space at your gorgeous Chandlery for my Oracle decks - you're a lovely soul and I really enjoyed spending much of the afternoon with you 🕯

When I got the chance to peruse the gorgeous offerings, I was floored by the craftsmanship, professionalism and sheer joy to be there oozing from each stall. I ended up bringing home some beautiful goodies from @moonmagicmanifest @cosmicwitchsociety @the_essential_potion and @wicce.craft - thank you all ❤️❤️

So much magick was experienced this weekend, and now I'm letting it all sink in and truly land. Can't wait until next time...

🍵🌔 MAGICKAL MAY 🍹✨️

As I cosy up under my favourite couch blanket and with Winter right around the corner, I'm reminded of just how transformative and magickal this month has been. With little miss growing faster each day and me trying to savour each moment, I reflect on the many ways I've been connecting with the world around me, the magickal libations I've brewed, how soul-aligned my friendships are and my deepening relationship with my definition of beauty 💖
